What You Will Be Doing?

Tasked with the responsibility of researching and locating Total Facility Management contracts in Federal, State, and commercial markets.  The emphasis of this research will be primarily in the Federal Government market through the Ability One program. This position will be responsible for preparing and submitting Sources Sought Notices through the Ability One process, Requests for Quotations, and Requests for Information documents.

Essential Functions:

  • Perform market research and analyze any opportunity for feasibility and risk
  • Function as Project Manager in the preparation and submission of SSN’S, RFQ’S, RFI’s in the time frame required
  • Coordinate in house and consultant inputs for proposal documents
  • Perform quality checks to ensure that all submissions meet established guidelines and requirements
  • Conduct “debrief” sessions after each submittal and maintain a data base of “lessons learned”
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret contracts, correspondence, proposals, general business documents and journals, professional journals, technical procedures, and government regulations
  • Will organize and oversee proposal teams that will prepare and submit SSN’s, RFQ’s, and RFI’s
  • Responsible to manage the start up of the operation and provide management oversight after the contract becomes operational
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Job Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in engineering preferably in the mechanical or civil engineering discipline
  • Minimum five years’ leadership experience in facility operations, maintenance, custodial. grounds maintenance and pest management
  • At least three years of business management experience to include profit and loss responsibility and budgeting
  • Knowledge of planning, purchasing, and project management
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment, effectively balancing multiple concurrent assignments, flexible with job duties and scope of work
  • Detail oriented self starter, analytical in nature, enthusiastic, energized, requires little supervision, proactive manager.  Prioritizes and plans work activities, uses time efficiently and develops realistic action plans
  • Computer literacy to include word processing, spreadsheet, Internet, and presentation software applications
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and to work in a collaborative team environment 
  • Ability to obtain security clearances when required

Working Environment Conditions/Requirements:

  • Must maintain a valid driver’s license and maintain dependable transportation.
  • Must be able to travel to designated Goodwill of North Georgia and contracting locations as needed.
