What We're Looking For
As the Director of Engineering at Size Stream, you will be a senior technical leader responsible for the strategic direction, development, and deployment of our state-of-the-art 3D Body Scanning applications across web and mobile platforms. Your extensive experience in AWS, Serverless architecture, Python, React, and mobile development will be essential in building scalable and innovative solutions that shape the future of body scanning technology. You will report to the VP of Engineering and lead multiple development teams, drive technical strategy, and maintain direct relationships with key customers to ensure our solutions exceed their expectations.
More specifically, we're looking for someone who can say "yes" to the following:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience) + 10 years of progressive engineering experience, with at least 3-5 years in leadership roles
  • Proven track record as a senior engineering leader with experience managing multiple teams and complex technical initiatives
  • Strong skills in communicating technical topics to non-technical stakeholder and customers as well as C-suite.
  • Strong hands-on technical skills in full stack development with deep expertise in AWS, Serverless architecture, Python, and React
  • Mobile application development experience (iOS/Android, React Native, Flutter, or native development)
  • Experience leading cross-platform development strategies and mobile-first product initiatives
  • Demonstrated success in scaling engineering organizations and establishing technical best practices
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills with experience mentoring senior developers and technical leads
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with C-level executives, customers, and technical stakeholders
  • Experience in customer-facing roles and managing enterprise client relationships
  • Deep familiarity with Agile development methodologies, DevOps practices, and modern project management tools
  • Proven track record of delivering complex software solutions on aggressive timelines while maintaining quality standards
  • Strategic thinking ability with experience in technical roadmap planning and resource allocation
  • Passion for 3D Body Scanning technology and a desire to drive Size Stream's continued market leadership
