Job description

Katz Yeshiva High School, a private Modern Orthodox Jewish High School in Boca Raton, FL, is seeking a full-time Director of Academic Support. The position will be open for August 1, 2025.

Location: Boca Raton, FL

Qualifications:

  • Experience working with a team of learning specialists in a school setting

  • Experience and a formal education in special education or a related field

  • Experience working with students with ASD/ADHD and/or challenges with executive functioning

  • Ability to provide academic support in at least two content areas, including English, Math, or Judaic Studies

  • Outstanding organizational skills and the ability to differentiate support

  • A flexible and open-minded approach to teaching and learning

  • Understanding of social, emotional, and cognitive development and the remediation of learning challenges

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of learning specialists and the Academic Support center

  • Build a diverse Academic Support program for different levels of support

  • Oversee the accommodations process both in school and for external organizations like the CollegeBoard and ACT

  • Collaborate in meetings about student-specific challenges and best practices

  • Differentiate curricular materials in collaboration with teachers

  • Provide direct academic and organizational support to students in small groups

  • Oversee student academic progress by communicating with parents about students with significant academic concerns and analyzing student growth data

  • Evaluate if general teaching strategies are aligned with best practices and train teachers to implement strategies into their classrooms

The salary range for this position is $85,000-$100,000 annually commensurate with experience.
