Ultium Cells, LLC. is a joint venture Lithium-ion automotive battery cell manufacturing plant between LG Energy Solution, Ltd., and General Motors. This high-technology plant is a new construction that will have the latest in battery cell manufacturing technology. This $2.3 billion investment will be among the largest battery cell manufacturing plants in the world. Ultium Cells will produce battery cells for General Motors' North American electric vehicle applications.

Position Description:
The HR General Affairs Specialist is responsible for overseeing and managing various administrative tasks and general affairs operations within the company. This includes handling office supplies, facilities management, vendor coordination, and assisting with employee onboarding and offboarding processes. The General Affairs Specialist will report directly to the HR General Affairs Manager and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
Job Responsibilities:
• Coordinate general procurement activities, excluding direct and indirect materials, including office furniture, equipment, consumables, and other administrative supplies.
• Manage office supplies and inventory to ensure the timely availability of materials required for daily business operations.
• Process HR-related invoices and provide administrative support for purchase requisitions (PRs), purchase orders (POs), invoice reconciliation, and payment processing.
• Coordinate with external vendors and service providers to support office operations, including cleaning, catering, facility maintenance, and other administrative services.
• Plan, coordinate, and support employee engagement initiatives and company events, including summer events, year-end celebrations, all-employee meetings, productivity/yield improvement recognition events, employee appreciation programs, and gift distribution.
• Coordinate domestic and international business travel arrangements, including flight reservations, hotel accommodations, ground transportation, and related travel logistics.
• Administer the company vehicle program, including vehicle allocation, maintenance scheduling, mileage tracking, registration, and compliance documentation.
• Provide day-to-day administrative support to managers, team leaders, supervisors, planners, engineers, and other departments, including assistance with HR and payroll-related inquiries.
• Support new employee onboarding by preparing workstations, coordinating IT and facility setup, and ensuring the availability of required equipment and resources.
• Assist in the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of office policies, administrative procedures, and operational processes to enhance efficiency and ensure compliance with company policies.
• Provide general administrative support to ensure the efficient operation of the office, including mail handling, mail tracking, and support for cross-functional business activities.
Qualifications and Competencies:
• Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field preferred
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in general affairs or administrative role
• Strong attention to detail and multitasking skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications (MS word, excel, power point, ADP, ERP/SAP, etc.)
• Strong written, verbal, excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team or project environment
• Flexible and open to change
