Job description

**Medical Director, Occupational Health Department opening near Dayton, OH****Position Overview:** - Located in Sidney, OH - Full Time; Permanant- Hospital Employed- Board Eligible/Certified- Seeking an Occupational Medicine Medical Director- The Medical Director will collaborate closely with Human Resources, Infection Control, Employee Health, and other hospital departments.- Provide medical oversight for occupational health programs, including pre-employment screenings, immunization programs, surveillance, and injury management- Develop, implement, and review occupational health policies and procedures in compliance with regulatory requirements (OSHA, CDC, state/local laws)- Serve as the primary clinical consultant on occupational health matters, including workplace injury, exposure management, and fitness-for-duty evaluations- Lead outbreak and exposure investigations in collaboration with Infection Control- Provide medical guidance on disability, workers’ compensation, and return-to-work determinations- Oversee medical record documentation and maintain confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA- Educate and advise staff on occupational health and safety topics- Participate in hospital committees related to workplace safety and employee wellness- Supervise and mentor occupational health clinical staff- Schedule: Flexible; position can be structured as part-time or full-time**Qualifications:**- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree- Board Certification in Occupational Medicine, Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or related specialty- Valid Ohio medical license- Experience in occupational health strongly preferred- Knowledge of relevant regulations (OSHA, ADA, DOT, FMLA, etc.)- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills**Benefits:**- Medical/Dental/Vision Insurance with Employer Contribution to HSA- 401k plan with employer contributions totaling 4/5% of eligible wages- PTO, days dependent on PT or FT- Relocation stipend available- CME Stipend**About the Community:**- A family focused community with great schools and supportive colleagues. - Four distinct seasons with opportunities for family activities including snow skiing, and lakeside recreation both within 30-40 minutes.- One and half hour drive to Columbus and Cincinnati, and a one-hour drive to Dayton.**About the Location:**- Perfect work/life balance in a welcoming community- System employs over 40 providers in specialties of family practice, internal medicine, pediatrics, OB/GYN, endocrinology, general surgery, and ENT- Located in proximity to Cincinnati, Dayton, and Columbus, Ohio.
