Purpose:

This position will be responsible for communication functions such as community relations, associates communication, and digital marketing, as well as working with sales and marketing team to design and implement strategic marketing communication plan to help protect and promote the Timken brand, its products and services. This includes understanding business plan objectives, implementing communication plans, advertising, sales promotion, and/or publicity tactics appropriate to meet those objectives, coordinating the creation of communications, and implementing them in partnership with internal and external resources. The individual is also responsible for continuously improving existing programs to improve efficiency in the methods employed, and responding to a host of communications-related sales support functions in a timely manner.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement integrated marketing communications plans to support the Company's business objectives and the initiatives emanating from the market segments with which the individual works. Must build consensus for the general direction of the plan and gain appropriate approvals and monetary support.
  • Ensure that overall tactical execution and implementation of communications plans is complete, effective and integrated. Deliver well-conceived, effective (and measurable, where possible) promotion and publicity materials on time and within budget. Manage numerous projects simultaneously.
  • Develop and deploy messages and content to strengthen our brand in all kinds of communications tactics including but not limited to events, advertising, printed literature, direct mailing, and digital media, etc.
  • Develop and control the messaging for internal communication, and liaise with plants in China to ensure messages are well delivered to associates in the plants.
  • Develop community communication plan and coordinate with all offices and plant for execution. Recruit qualified NGO and design sponsorship program.
  • Recruit, manage and evaluate external suppliers and leverage their expertise in support of communications tactics. Effectively supervise and evaluate performance and cost-effectiveness of vendors supporting marketing communications programs.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor or master degree in Communications, Marketing, English, or Engineering is preferred
  • Strong copy-writing ability and experience
  • Familiar with digital media communication method
  • Strong English skill both in oral and in written
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate major events, promotions, publication production, advertising development and collateral support.
  • Few years sales and marketing experience will be a plus
