The Director of Video and Technology Services will oversee theproduction, execution, and distribution of team-specific,internal-use video content for University of Idaho Athletics andits 16 varsity athletic programs, providing the student-athletes,coaches, and staff with the tools to analyze and scout their ownperformances, as well as opponents and prospective student-athleterecruits. Duties may include:

  • Planning and directing activities to shoot, execute edits, anddeliver video cutups to each sport's coaching staff
  • Managing the software, equipment and technology associated withteam video
  • Serving as an NFL liaison for all NFL scouts who visit theIdaho campus
Position Overview

The Director of Video and Technology Services will oversee theproduction, execution, and distribution of team-specific,internal-use video content for University of Idaho Athletics andits 16 varsity athletic programs, providing the student-athletes,coaches, and staff with the tools to analyze and scout their ownperformances, as well as opponents and prospective student-athleterecruits.

  • Planning and directing activities to shoot, execute edits, anddeliver video cutups to each sport's coaching staff following eachdaily practice, as well as all competitions
  • Managing the software, equipment and technology associated withteam video
  • Researching and assessing new technology and best practices tohelp establish efficient office and department-wide strategies,philosophies, and initiatives
  • Serving as an NFL liaison for all NFL scouts who visit theIdaho campus, creating and providing them access to all digitalvideo for our student-athletes
  • Other duties as assigned

This position reports to the Sr Associate Athletic Director,Business , with an indirect report to the football headcoach.

Required Experience
  • Experience in sport-specific video editing systems
  • One year of football team video experience
  • Experience interpreting and applying NCAA rules and regulationsregarding compliance issues
Required Education
  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Additional Preferred
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Two years of relevant experience
  • Proficiency in DVSport 360
  • Proficiency in video editing software
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
  • Must be able to lift, carry and/or otherwise move up to 30pounds frequently and up to 60 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to actively operate video equipment continually forlong periods of time, potentially without stopping
