Pay Range: $70,000 - $78,000

Traveling Restaurant Trainers/Opening Team Members at Kura are responsible for leading, instructing, coaching, and managing all new store members and trainees in ensuring exceptional quest experience and support the current company expansion plans.

This position requires extensive travel. Traveling trainers travel from new store to the other and stay from weeks to months at a new or existing stores to assist with training and store operations.

3+ years of previous experience in leadership, management or supervisory capacity preferred, minimum 2 years.

• Previous training experience in restaurant or hospitality.

• Strong customer service/guest relations skills and accumen.

• Ability to engage positively with Guests, team members and trainees.

• Ability to train and explain concepts and tasks to team members in the area they are training in:

Front of the House (Servers) – Guest service, cleanliness, cash handling, hosting,

bussing, restocking and cleaning of service areas including taking out trash and cleaning

restrooms.

Back of House (Kitchen Team Members – Sushi Prep, Cut Fish and Dishwasher) – Ability

to demonstrate and train team members of tasks and functions of each station.

Responsibilities include: prepping and assembly of sushi and rolls, preparing food in the

fry/tempura station, noodle, desserts and grill. Keeping fresh stock and assessing food

quality.

Previous experience working in sushi restaurant or sushi production role.

• Able to work with raw fish, seafood and shell fish. Must be willing and able to conduct quality

control or our product, including tasting/eating raw fish, seafood, shell fish and rice.

• Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities to train and mentor new hires/team members.

• Self-sufficient, self-starter.

• Adaptable with the ability to work with a variety of management/leadership styles with diverse

team members.

Traveling Trainers:

  • Effective and efficient hands-on leaders/trainers that directly work alongside employees
  • Educate and train hands-on work to new hires and employees
  • Ongoing process improvement of techniques for efficient training
  • Ensure efficient and effective store operations within given guidelines
  • Analyze employees training needs for better performance
  • Coach employee on food quality and safety in the restaurant
