Overview

Note: This role has a hybrid work schedule in NYC.

Involved Media USA is a full-service, independent media agency specializing in data-guided media strategy and buying, performance-driven tactical planning, proprietary research, and analytics. Based in New York City, the company is part of a global network with locations in Toronto, Melbourne, Spain and Sydney. Involved Media USA is an AMS company, a privately held media and financial solutions company with over $1B in annual media billings.

As part of the Media Analytics & Customer Success team, the Director will be responsible for supporting every stage of client campaigns from data-driven planning to in-market testing and media measurement. The Customer Success team is the client facing arm of the Information Solutions group. As part of this group, the Director will collaborate with Client Services, Data Science, Data Operations, and BI teams to identify the optimal solutions for client needs.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about tackling marketing challenges and looking for insights that drive understanding and strategic direction. The Director will work closely with the VP of Media Analytics and a team of Analysts to support a portfolio of clients from various verticals. Involved clients are investing in any combination of search, social, digital video, programmatic display, linear TV, and OTT TV.

Responsibilities
  • Strategic Thinking & Analytics Project Management: Lead the process of identifying the mix of measurement and analytics solutions that best meet client and internal team needs. The Director is responsible for thought leadership, planning, and overseeing the execution of various projects including measurement frameworks, campaign data strategy, a media testing plans.
  • Client Leadership: Serve as a senior client-facing analytics lead for key accounts, translating performance insights into strategic guidance. Able to lead meetings with executive client leadership (VP, C-suite, etc.) and expert at communicating technical concepts to non-technical teams.
  • Advanced Media Analytics: Our core offering is finding the best mix of media and linking to performance outcomes (leads & sales). A key responsibility for the Director and team will be anything that improves upon this core offering via observations from testing or analytics. Specifically, this includes looking for links between performance and: initiated / influenced touchpoints, path length, days to convert, mobile / desktop, geography, creative, creative sequence, daypart, placement, channel, and competitive share (spend and voice).
  • Data Visualization and Advanced Reporting: ย Support client campaign reporting in Tableau, Datorama and Excel. Responsibilities include data manipulation in SQL, overarching reporting strategy, and design of visualizations.
  • Data Strategy: Finding insights in disparate data sources that can refine our marketing strategy. This data will include 1st and 3rd party data, website visitation trends, ad server logs, Nielsen, and other research sources.

Supervisory Responsibilities ย  ย  ย ย 

This role oversees a team of 2 analysts. The Director will be responsible for evaluating and refining team structure, setting annual team goals, and conducting reviews.

Qualifications
  • 7+ years in marketing analytics with a focus on digital analytics, Television, and/or Online Video, essential. Proven track record of directly supporting clients with strategic guidance from measurement & testing tactics, a must-have.
  • Agency experience is strongly preferred, however, client or consultancy experience will also be considered.
  • The ability to translate results into clear, concise presentations, written reports, and data visualizations, required.
  • Resourceful, adaptable, and creative - must bring fresh insights and not be discouraged when all the data is not readily available.
  • Educational background in a statistical or analytical field preferred or equivalent experience. Graduate degree is a strong plus but not required.

ย Technical Skills

  • Solid understanding of statistical concepts such as regression, lift testing, and significance testing
  • Experience designing, analyzing, and garnering insights from experiments such as A:B tests and incrementality tests
  • Experience incorporating media mix modeling (MMM) and multi-touch attribution (MTA) methodologies into broader campaign initiatives
  • Must be highly skilled with Tableau or other BI tools
  • Must be highly skilled in accessing data from relational databases (SQL)
  • Experience with Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, or similar web analytics vendors is preferred

ย Travel

This position is based in New York, NY (midtown) and requires occasional travel (up to 10%) to client or partner locations in the US, Canada, and Europe.

The salary range for this role is $135,000 - $155,000. The successful candidate's salary will depend on the actual ranges of current employees in the subject position, market considerations, budgetary considerations, geography, as well as the candidate's skill set, level of experience, and qualifications.
