Retail Media Billing Specialist

Department: Retail Media

FLSA: Non-Exempt

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail oriented individual to join our team as a Retail Media Billing Specialist. As a Billing Specialist, you will be responsible for media billing for Hy-Vee's RedMedia team. You will compare Insertions Orders (Ios) against monthly delivery data housed in various platforms and systems. You will analyze, compare, and reconcile delivery information to ensure timely and accurate billing to our clients. You will ensure data is precisely maintained in and across various systems, tools, and dashboards and that all processes and procedures are being correctly met.

Reporting Relations:

Accountable and Reports to: Director, Media Planning & Ad Operations

Positions that Report to you: None

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Compare and analyze Insertion Orders against impressions delivered in various platforms on a weekly/monthly basis.
  • Enter and maintain precise and reliable data across multiple systems, platforms, and dashboards.
  • Provide accurate reporting and communication to clients in relation to monthly billing, data discrepancies and reconciliation.
  • Provide summaries of monthly billing and reconciliation and assist with any billing related issues.
  • Help resolve discrepancies and issues with vendors or client to ensure reconciliation timelines are met.
  • Send invoices to suppliers
  • P&L support for monthly accruals
  • Keep billing tracking up to date and accurate
  • Refine current processes and define future processes with organizational skills, automation and tooling and scheduled report


Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Worker Characteristics:

  • Media billing and reconciliation experience preferred
  • Highly detail-oriented worker with ability to handle multiple projects, prioritize responsibilities and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • Basic understanding of digital media and digital marketing campaign tools and platforms ex. Carrot Ads, The Trade Desk, Meta preferred

Experience and Education:

College Degree; 1-3 years previous related work experience preferred.

    Physical Requirements

    • Visual requirements include: ability to see detail at near range with or without correction.
    • Must be physically able to perform sedentary work: operating a computer, occasionally lifting or carrying objects of no more than 10 pounds, and occasionally standing or walking.
    • Must be able to perform the following physical activities: meeting with customers, kneeling, reaching, handling, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.

    Working Conditions

    The duties for this position are performed in a general or remote office setting. There is weekly pressure to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks in a day.

    Laptop and desktop computer, telephone, copier, printer, PC with Microsoft Office programs, SAP, digital media platform reporting and other software relevant to specific position.
