Lawyers on Demand, a Consilio Company, is seeking a temporary litigation paralegal for an assignment with our client, a busy defense firm.

 

Start: ASAP

Pay Rate: $30 - $40/hr, commensurate with experience

Location: hybrid, Dallas, TX, 1-2 days on site

Duration: 3 - 6 months, with possibility of converting to direct hire for right candidate

 

Job Description

Our client, a busy defense firm in Dallas, TX, is hiring for an experienced temporary litigation paralegal to support 2 attorneys.  The ideal candidate will have prior experience supporting mass tort matters and managing litigation activities from initial case development through resolution in the state of Texas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive litigation support to two attorneys
  • Assist with defense-side mass tort matters and related case management
  • Draft, format, and proofread pleadings, discovery requests and responses, correspondence, and other legal documents.
  • Coordinate document collection, review, organization, and production
  • Maintain case files, calendars, deadlines, and litigation databases
  • Assist with deposition, hearing, mediation, and trial preparation
  • Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, experts, and vendors
  • Perform additional administrative and litigation support duties as needed

Qualifications

  • 3 -5 years of litigation paralegal experience
  • Previous defense-side litigation experience
  • Paralegal certificate or associate or bachelor’s degree
  • Experience supporting mass tort litigation strongly preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple cases, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys and other team members
