A Director of Litigation Support is a senior professional responsible for managing the technical and administrative aspects of litigation cases within a law firm or corporate legal department. Their duties include overseeing the collection, processing, and review of electronic evidence, managing litigation technology platforms, and leading teams that support attorneys during discovery and trial. They also ensure that all processes comply with legal standards and help to streamline workflows to improve efficiency and outcomes. This role requires strong leadership, deep knowledge of eDiscovery, and a solid understanding of legal procedures.

How does a director litigation support typically collaborate with legal teams and external vendors during large-scale cases?

A Director of Litigation Support plays a pivotal role in coordinating between attorneys, paralegals, and external service providers such as eDiscovery vendors. They manage the collection, processing, and review of electronic evidence, ensuring compliance with legal standards and deadlines. Effective communication and project management are essential, as the Director facilitates workflow, sets expectations, and resolves technical or logistical challenges to keep litigation projects on track. This collaboration ensures that all parties have timely access to relevant data and resources, contributing to the overall success of the case.
