Are you a passionate, experienced early childhood leader ready to take ownership of a thriving school community? The Learning Experience of Astoria is seeking a dynamic Education Director with a proven track record of leadership, operational excellence, and enrollment growth.
 

This is a high-impact leadership role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, relationship-driven environment and understands what it takes to run a successful early childhood program in NYC.
 

Position Requirements
 

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as an Education Director in a licensed early childhood program
     
  • NYS Early Childhood Education Teaching Certification (per DOH requirements)
     
  • Extensive knowledge of Article 47 regulations and NYC DOH compliance
     
  • Strong understanding of enrollment management, marketing, and retention strategies
     
  • Experience managing school financials, budgeting, and reporting
     
  • Demonstrated ability to build, mentor, and retain a large team
     
  • Exceptional parent communication and conflict resolution skills

  • Oversee daily school operations and ensure full compliance with Article 47 regulations
     
  • Lead and develop teaching staff through coaching, evaluations, and professional development
     
  • Manage enrollment pipeline, tours, and family onboarding
     
  • Monitor financial performance and support revenue growth initiatives
     
  • Ensure curriculum implementation aligns with brand standards
     
  • Maintain a strong, visible leadership presence in the school
