Description

Senior Technical Director, Global Manufacturing Programs, serves as a strategic technical leader for MedSuRe Africa and other assigned global health manufacturing initiatives. This role provides end-to-end technical leadership, translating organizational and donor-driven strategies into executable program plans, and ensuring consistent delivery against technical, timeline, and stakeholder objectives. As a senior leader, s/he is accountable for overseeing technical execution across multidisciplinary teams. This includes establishing technical direction, aligning work plans and milestones, managing risk, and ensuring quality and coherence across manufacturing, regulatory, market access, and related program components.

The role acts as a primary technical advisor to the Head of Global Pharmaceutical Programs, with influence over program strategy, prioritization, and resource allocation. In addition, the Senior Director represents the organization externally, leading or contributing to engagements with donors, partners, and peer institutions, and strengthening strategic relationships that advance programmatic and institutional goals.

The position requires a deep technical expertise in pharmaceutical programs and global health, exceptional leadership capabilities, and the ability to drive collaboration across multidisciplinary, geographically dispersed teams. The individual must be able to navigate complex, multi-stakeholder environments with credibility and clarity, represent the organization externally to donors, partners, and peer institutions, and contribute to proposal efforts that advance the department's strategic growth.
