Job Description

To direct plan and manage finance functions in accordance with divisional and corporate policies and objectives. The Director of Finance assists and guides Senior management in the formation of key business policies and strategies to maximize financial performance for Business Units that contribute a significant amount of revenue and profits for both OCA and Olympus Corporation (ie Revenue in the hundreds of millions dollars) . This position has dotted line reporting to Senior Business management within OCA and provides decision support and business partnering for critical and consequential management decisions.

Job Duties
  • Oversees the budgeting financial analysis and financial reporting functions of multiple MSG business units.
  • Plans develops and implements systems for gathering analyzing and disseminating business information to division management.
  • Oversees the consolidation of financial results for multiple MSG business units for management reporting.
  • Works with Senior Management to develop short and long term financial and operational objectives.
  • Develops and executes processes to measure and report against these objectives.
  • Provides MSG's personnel with financial support and analysis ensuring their goals objectives budgets and strategies maintain proper financial impact consistent with MSGs overall objectives.
  • Conduct financial analysis at the highest level to interpret trends variances from budgets variances from standards and provide advice and counsel to upper management consistent with established financial policy.
  • Develops and maintains an adequate system of internal financial control within their Finance Department and business units supported.
  • Analyze business process requirements with information system capabilities to ensure efficient and effective use of information resources. Supervises teams of other financial managers and analysts.
  • Facilitate the identification of problem areas and recommend process and policy redesign to promote effective efficient and economic business practices.
  • Performs all other related duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications

Required:

  • BS degree in accounting/finance/economics/business administration/management or a BS degree in another discipline and an MBA is required. CPA and/or MBA are strongly preferred.
  • A minimum of 10 years of related business/accounting/finance experience is required.
  • Supervision of management personnel is required.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of business operations finance and IT systems is a must.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills are essential.
