SUMMARY
The Director of Finance is responsible for the leadership, coordination, and oversight of financial planning and analysis activities for ACM and its subsidiaries, including the annual operating budget, long-range financial planning, forecasting, variance analysis, and operational financial support This role partners closely with operational leadership and finance stakeholders across ACM, affiliated entities, and Rochester Regional Health to drive financial performance, operational efficiency, and strategic decision-making.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead, mentor, and develop finance team members while fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Recruit, develop, and retain top talent.
  • Lead the annual budgeting and long-range planning processes, including coordination, consolidation, review, and executive presentation of financial data and supporting analyses.
  • Oversee monthly financial reporting, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and performance reporting for ACM, affiliated entities, and consolidated operations.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support consolidated organizational performance, business unit analysis, strategic initiatives, and scenario planning.
  • Partner with operational leaders to identify revenue enhancement opportunities, cost containment initiatives, and operational performance improvements.
  • Develop and implement benchmarking tools, dashboards, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor financial and operational performance.
  • Lead the design and implementation of system-wide metric-driven forecasting tools and reporting capabilities.
  • Provide financial education and ongoing support to operational leaders, including participation in leadership onboarding and development programs.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to evaluate financial performance, understand key business drivers, and establish appropriate financial controls and accountability measures.
  • Serve as a strategic business partner across departments while effectively managing multiple priorities and organizational initiatives
  • Support Board and Finance Committee reporting through preparation of financial presentations, analyses, and recommendations.
  • Perform additional financial and administrative responsibilities as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required.
  • 7 years of progressive experience in finance, financial planning & analysis, or corporate finance.
  • 3 years of progressive leadership experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Master's degree.
  • Clinical Trials, Health Care, laboratory, or multi-entity organizational experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience within financial planning & analysis, healthcare finance, or corporate finance environments.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable business insights.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities with attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and execute initiatives within established timelines.
  • Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, reporting systems, and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience developing dashboards, metrics, and data-driven performance management tools.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate financial concepts to operational and executive audience.
  • Collaborative leadership style with the ability to build strong cross-functional relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Self-directed, highly motivated, and results-oriented with a demonstrated record of achievement and continuous improvement.
