Role

The position holder will be responsible for the coordination and support of the internal and external activities of the Public and Governmental Affairs department in Canada to ensure the proper operation of the department and the completion of the communication and community relation activities.

Responsabilities

Activation of the Social Investment Program

  • Ensure budget tracking and on-budget performance (Foundation, Public Affairs)
  • Ensure compliance with donation payment schedules as set out in existing partnership agreements
  • Monitor the cheque issuance procedure (donations and sponsorships) with administrative support resources
  • Write and send financial support confirmation letters
  • Develop and activate visibility elements related to social investments
  • Communicate employees’ volunteering activities on internal and external broadcasting platforms

Communications

  • Support activities in connexion with the editorial schedule for internal/external communications
  • Create, draft and coordinate content for various internal/external communication tools
  • Oversee the development and production of tools using graphic elements and promotional material.
  • Coordinate and revise translations
  • Contribute to the organization of events
  • Support the development of internal communication tools

Public Affairs

  • Conduct research
  • Provide support to regional tours (municipalities, industrial assets, liaison committees, etc.)

Qualifications
  • University degree in communications, marketing or another relevant field
  • 3 years of relevant professional experience. Experience in a consulting firm is an asset
  • Bilingual (French & English)
  • Able to work under time constraints
  • Organized and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Intellectual curiosity
  • Deep sense of initiative and responsibility
  • Self-directed and resourceful
  • Skilled in written communication, tool development and communication strategies
