QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Master's Degree and three (3) years of successful human resource , business, or education experience. Minimum three (3) years of successful administration/supervision experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Executive Leadership and District Coordination
  • Serves as a member of the Superintendent's executive leadership team and assists in the coordination of districtwide strategic initiatives.
  • Provides leadership and coordination across departments to ensure alignment of instructional programs, student services, and operational priorities.
  • Advises the Superintendent on instructional, personnel, and organizational matters impacting district operations.
  • Represents the district at Board of Education meetings, KRESA county meetings and committees, state meetings, and community groups.

Human Resources and Labor Relations
  • Supervises and directs the District's Human Resources department, Student Data Coordinator, and Maintenance Technician.
  • Reviews and approves all accident reports, tuition reimbursement, and employee status changes.
  • Approves job description updates and postings.
  • Assists the Superintendent with student investigations and appeals.
  • Serves as Lead Negotiator for all employee groups (Teachers, Paraprofessionals, Administrative Assistants, and third-party groups).
  • Develops a school calendar that meets district, regional and state requirements.
  • Serves as the District's Title IX Coordinator.
  • Directs Shared-Time agreements with private schools.
  • Consults legal counsel on behalf of the district as needed.

Compliance, Governance, and Policy Implementation
  • Implements policy and procedural changes from the Board, State, and Federal levels at the department and district level.
  • Ensures the Transparency page on the district website contains all required documents pertaining to academics and current employee contracts.

Board Relations and District Communication
  • Attends School Board meetings and provides updates.
  • Serves as liaison between the district and Powerschool, including collaboration with SWMiTech at KRESA

General Expectations
  • The employee shall remain free of any alcohol or non-prescribed controlled substances in the workplace throughout his/her employment in the District.
  • Performs other administrative duties as assigned by the Superintendent.
  • Regular attendance is required.
  • Performs job duties in the district office and school buildings as required.
