A Career and Technical Education (CTE) Supervisor - sometimes titled as a CTE Director of Coordinator - in a Tennessee public school system is responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating the district's career-focused academic programs in alignment with federal, state, and local regulations.

This district-level administrative role bridges the gap between classrooms, state education departments, and local workforce industries to ensure student paths lead directly to employment, industry certifications, or postsecondary enrollment.

Core Job Responsibilities
  • Grant and Budget Management: Acts as the primary administrator for the federal Carl D. Perkins Grant, managing application updates, budget spending compliance, and inventory tracking for equipment bought with federal funds.
