Job description

What You'll Do
As an Electrical Designer, you'll develop the electrical drawings and documentation that support the design and delivery of complex industrial automation systems. Working closely with Electrical Project Engineers, you'll create accurate, high-quality designs that support projects from concept through commissioning.
In this role, you will:
  • Create electrical schematics, control panel layouts, wiring diagrams, and system drawings using EPLAN
  • Interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings to develop complete system designs
  • Produce electrical drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), and project documentation within established project schedules
  • Collaborate with Electrical Project Engineers to develop electrical layouts, schematics, and final engineering documentation
  • Participate in design review meetings and incorporate engineering feedback
  • Coordinate with engineering, estimating, contractors, suppliers, and customers throughout the project lifecycle
  • Maintain drawing revisions, document control, and engineering archives
  • Support continuous improvement of engineering standards and documentation

What You'll Bring
We're looking for a detail-oriented, self-motivated professional with a passion for electrical design and a desire to continue growing your engineering career.
You'll be successful if you have:
  • Associate degree in CAD, Electrical Design, or a related technical field (Electrical Engineering degree preferred)
  • 5+ years of electrical design experience
  • Hands-on experience with EPLAN (required)
  • AutoCAD experience preferred
  • SAP experience preferred
  • Experience creating electrical schematics, control panel layouts, wiring diagrams, and bills of materials
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings
  • Familiarity with mechanical layouts, detail drawings, and basic piping concepts
  • Strong math, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams)
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team
  • Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed
