Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Global Industry Director - Energy to lead IFS's global strategy, positioning, and market impact within the Energy sector. The role spans key Energy segments, including Mining, Oil & Gas, and asset-intensive production environments.

You will define the global Energy strategy, strengthen IFS's competitive posture, and drive strategic net new wins. This role combines deep Energy domain expertise with strong commercial, strategic, and executive communication skills. You will serve as a global thought leader and orchestrate cross-functional execution across Sales, Product, R&D, Marketing, and Partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and lead the global Energy industry strategy, setting priorities across Mining and Oil & Gas value chains.
  • Serve as an Energy thought leader, representing IFS globally at events, analyst engagements, and industry forums.
  • Craft and deliver executive-level Energy value propositions, aligning to industry trends such as energy transition, asset optimization, operational resilience, and digitalization of field operations.
  • Engage in key Tier 1 strategic opportunities, supporting early discovery, executive dialogue, differentiation, and narrative shaping.
  • Partner with Product and R&D to translate global Energy requirements into roadmap and portfolio direction.
  • Lead creation of Energy-specific sales plays, GTM initiatives, and global enablement content.
  • Build strong relationships with Energy industry partners, associations, and influencers worldwide.
  • Ensure global consistency and coherence of Energy messaging, ICP definition, and competitive positioning across all IFS regions.
  • Provide market insight and strategic guidance for M&A and ecosystem development.
Qualifications
  • 12-15+ years of Energy industry experience across Mining and/or Oil & Gas, with strong exposure to enterprise software/SaaS.
  • Proven experience operating at a strategic or executive level with C-suite engagement.
  • Deep understanding of Energy operating models, value chains, regulatory context, and digital transformation levers.
  • Strong commercial acumen and competitive awareness across global Energy markets.
  • Ability to influence across regions and collaborate with Sales, Product, R&D, Partners, and Marketing.
  • Excellent executive communication, thought leadership presence, and global stakeholder management.
  • Ability to travel internationally as needed.
