Chartwells K12, part of Compass Group USA, is seeking a seasoned Area Director / District Manager to lead and support our K-12 food service operations across Northern Indiana and the Indianapolis market. This multi-unit leadership role is responsible for approximately 15 school districts with a combined managed volume of $25 million.

As the Area Director, you will provide hands-on leadership and strategic oversight for district-level operations while partnering closely with clients and internal teams. This role focuses on financial performance, operational consistency, talent development, and growth across a diverse portfolio of school districts. Reporting to the Regional Vice President, the Area Director will spend significant time in the field supporting accounts, building relationships, and ensuring operational excellence, with additional time working remotely from a home office.

Key Responsibilities:
Monitors the overall financial performance of the accounts to ensure profitability
Ensures consistent and fair administration of personnel policies
Manages planning, budget analysis and reporting for the region
Participates in the sales process to grow the region

Preferred Qualifications:
BS Degree preferred
Five plus years of contract foodservice management experience
Strong leadership and communication skills
Strong in financial acumen
Multi-unit experience a MUST!!
