Job description

Montgomery County Community College invites applications for the Assistant Director of Nursing position. The Assistant Director of the Nursing Program assists the Director in the leadership and management of the Nursing Program. The Assistant Director has primary responsibilities in the areas of nursing admissions processes, clinical compliance and the Nursing Skills and Simulation Suite.

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required; Master’s degree in Nursing preferred.
  • Current registration as a Professional Nurse in good standing with the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.
  • At least 3 years' experience in nursing practice required.
  • At least 3 years’ professional experience in one or more of the following areas: training, staff development, simulation lab, nursing education, and supervisory experience.
  • Experience with nursing specialized accreditation and development of accreditation documents preferred. Demonstrated communication and relationship‑building skills.
  • Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to comprehensive community college philosophy
  • Knowledge of contemporary educational practices and standards including, but not limited to, the use of alternative educational delivery systems, instructional techniques, and distance learning modalities.
  • Commitment to the incorporation of information literacy, technology, writing, and diversity in the curriculum.
