Job Description Summary

The Department of Applied Computing and Engineering Technology at Miami University partners with community colleges and regional institutions to support accessible transfer pathways into Engineering Technology bachelor completion degree programs. Current Miami bachelor completion program delivery models are primarily virtual or hybrid in nature. Coordinators are not expected to provide academic advising beyond general pathway awareness, OT36 and referral support. The anticipated time commitment for this role is approximately 5-10 hours per week on average, depending on student engagement and activities.

Job Description

Student Outreach and Recruitment
  • Promote Miami University Engineering Technology programs and transfer pathways at the partner institution.
  • Distribute and maintain current program materials, marketing resources, and transfer pathway information.
  • Refer prospective students to Miami University representatives for detailed advising, admissions, transfer planning, and degree-related questions.
Transfer and Pathway Coordination
  • Assist in communicating transfer requirements, including OT36 completion and related transfer processes.
  • Work with Miami University personnel to support alignment of courses, curriculum expectations, course numbering, and transfer pathway consistency.
  • Help coordinate presentations, engagement opportunities, and pathway-related communication between Miami University and partner institutions.
