Senior Director, Digital Supply Chain Platforms & Transformation
Reports to: Chief Information Officer
Scope: Global | Enterprise Supply Planning Ecosystem | Multi-site Manufacturing

The Opportunity

Lumentum seeks a transformational technology leader to modernize and lead its global Digital Supply Chain Applications portfolio. This executive will own strategy, execution, and performance of advanced planning platforms supporting a complex, multi-site manufacturing network.

This mandate goes beyond system ownership-this leader will redefine how supply, demand, material, and capacity planning operate by re-architecting the digital backbone that enables demand fulfillment, manufacturing responsiveness, inventory optimization, and customer service excellence.

Reporting to the CIO, this leader will define and execute a next-generation Digital Supply Chain strategy, leveraging advanced planning platforms, automation, analytics, and modern data architectures to create a scalable, resilient, and intelligent supply network.

The individual will lead teams of experienced professionals across multiple geographies, providing world-class support for global supply chain planning operations. The role requires strong cross-functional leadership and partnership across Demand Planning, Capacity Planning, Sales, Marketing, Sourcing, Manufacturing, Fabs, Logistics, Finance, Procure to Pay and Plan to Produce processes and IT to improve and automate supply chain planning and execution efficiency.

Strategic Mandate

The Senior Director will lead a transformation agenda focused on:

  • Modernizing the supply planning ecosystem (APS, ERP integrations, PLM, analytics)
  • Building an integrated, cloud-enabled planning architecture across manufacturing, sourcing, logistics, and finance
  • Advancing forecasting, scenario modeling, and predictive analytics
  • Elevating automation across material and capacity planning workflows and reducing manual interventions
  • Enabling real-time supply network visibility and control tower capabilities
  • Strengthening master data governance and system resiliency
  • Advancing S&OP / IBP (Integrated Business Planning) maturity across the enterprise

The objective is to shift planning from reactive execution to predictive orchestration.

Core Accountabilities

Digital Architecture & Platform Leadership

  • Own the global Advanced Planning System (APS) ecosystem and ERP integrations.
  • Design scalable integration across ERP, PLM, manufacturing systems, and analytics platforms.
  • Establish governance models for performance, data integrity, standards, and system lifecycle management.
  • Partner with Enterprise Architecture to modernize integration and cloud strategy.

Transformation & Business Impact

  • Lead large-scale modernization initiatives across global stakeholders.
  • Improve forecast accuracy, planning cycle time, service levels, and working capital performance.
  • Embed scenario modeling and digital twin capabilities into executive decision processes.

Advanced Analytics & Automation

  • Deploy predictive modeling and AI-enabled decision support tools.
  • Implement control tower capabilities to synchronize supply-demand signals in real time.
  • Elevate KPI visibility across OTIF, inventory turns, and capacity utilization.
  • Build a data foundation enabling advanced analytics and continuous optimization.

Operational Excellence

  • Own end-to-end accountability for supply planning applications supporting all business units and customer supply requirements.
  • Ensure planning systems are robust, scalable, and responsive to evolving business needs.
  • Oversee advanced planning and execution systems, improving plan automation, forecast stability, and decision velocity.
  • Align planning outputs (factory build plans, material plans, capacity plans) with execution and resolve discrepancies.

Ideal Candidate Profile

We are seeking a digitally fluent, enterprise-scale leader with:

  • 15+ years of progressive supply chain technology leadership experience
  • Proven success leading APS/ERP transformation programs in global manufacturing environments
  • Deep expertise in advanced planning platforms (e.g., Kinaxis, Blue Yonder, or equivalent)
  • Strong ERP ecosystem knowledge (Oracle preferred)
  • Experience integrating planning systems with PLM and manufacturing systems
  • Demonstrated ability to apply AI/ML to supply chain planning and decision support
  • Executive presence with the ability to influence at C-level and board level
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally

Pay Range:

P95-USA-1 :$193,050.00 - $275,800.00
