Job description

The Testing and Delivery Lead supports a BI data modernization program by driving delivery coordination for the Reference Data Management workstream and leading quality assurance activities for cyclical data model testing. This role blends program delivery oversight with hands-on test automation leadership, requiring someone who can manage cross-team dependencies, support client delivery priorities, and maintain testing rigor across releases. The ideal candidate brings insurance industry experience, strong data engineering and QA capabilities, and experience working across modern cloud and data platforms.

As a Data Engineer III (Test and Delivery Lead) on the AI & Engineering team, you will be responsible for...
  • Lead planning, resourcing, and dependency management for the Reference Data Management workstream across upstream and downstream teams.
  • Oversee testing and validation of cyclical data model updates and deployments to support data accuracy, integrity, and release readiness.
  • Build, maintain, and extend automated testing assets using SQL, PySpark, and Python across evolving source systems and data model changes.
  • Lead offshore QA team activities, including priority setting, daily coordination, defect triage, and progress tracking against release plans.
  • Support client delivery through status reporting, risk escalation, milestone tracking, and coordination of end-to-end testing across cross-functional teams.

Qualifications
Required:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience building and maintaining automated testing frameworks using SQL, PySpark, and Python
  • Hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Databricks
  • Experience leading offshore quality assurance teams
  • Experience coordinating end-to-end testing across cross-functional teams
  • Ability to travel 10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
  • Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.
Preferred:
  • Experience supporting business intelligence or data modernization programs
  • Experience with reference data management
  • Experience with insurance data domains such as policy, claims, or underwriting
  • Experience integrating testing into continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) workflows
