About the Role:

CrowdStrike is seeking an experienced Software Development Engineer to join our AI Detection and Response (AIDR) Cloud team. In this role, you will architect and build the next generation of AIDR services that processes millions of AI security events per second and manage petabytes of critical AI data. We're seeking innovative problem-solvers who can take ownership of complex technical challenges across our platform. This is an opportunity to work at unprecedented scale with cutting-edge cloud technologies while making a direct impact on organizations worldwide protecting them from sophisticated AI based threats.

PLEASE NOTE: This role is hybrid, requiring 2-3 days per week on-site at one of the posted locations.

Success Means:

  • Architect enterprise grade solutions that scale seamlessly from thousands to millions of requests per second
  • Building reusable platform libraries that accelerate development across multiple engineering teams
  • Drive operational excellence through rapid issue resolution, thorough root cause analysis, and proactive system improvements
  • Collaborating effectively across engineering teams to drive testing best practices
  • Deliver with velocity while maintaining highest standards of security and reliability

What You'll Do:

  • Design and implement highly scalable microservices, frameworks and platform components
  • Develop comprehensive tests focusing on reliability, accuracy and performance
  • Conduct thorough code and design reviews with focus on testability, security, and scalability
  • Integrate seamlessly with Crowdstrike ecosystem of services and API's
  • Drive root cause analysis for production issues and implement preventive measures
  • Mentor team members on secure coding practices, testing methodologies and cloud-native development

What You'll Need:

  • 10+ years of software development experience in building Enterprise grade products
  • 5+ years of experience in developing microservices that run in cloud native environments
  • Strong computer science fundamentals (algorithms, data structures, distributed systems)
  • Expertise in at least one cloud native programming language: GO, Python, Java
  • Proven experience utilizing AI technologies to enhance decision-making, streamline workflows and processes, improve efficiency and drive business outcomes.


Deep understanding of:

  • Cloud architectures and microservices
  • Web Services: REST, gRPC, Protocol Buffers or similar API technologies
  • Data storage systems: PostgreSQL, Redis or similar databases
  • Container technologies: Docker, Kubernetes or similar orchestration platforms
  • Proven track record of deploying services to at least one of cloud environments (AWS/OCI/GCP/Azure)
  • Strong debugging skills with ability to troubleshoot complex distributed systems
  • Experience with cloud monitoring, profiling and optimization tools

Bonus Points:

  • Previous experience in cybersecurity companies or security-focused products
  • Deep understanding of AI/ML security challenges, threats and mitigation strategies
  • Experience with real-time data processing systems (Kafka, Pulsar, Splunk)
  • Contributions to open source libraries and/or frameworks
  • Hands-on experience with working in cloud environments such as Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and/or Microsoft Azure
  • GCP, OCI & Kubernetes
  • AWS and API Gateway
  • Golang experience
  • MS CoPilot Ecosystem and MS Agent Studio
  • Highly scalable and performant Cloud Native Service experience on AWS

Placement within the pay range is dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications, job level, supervisory status, and location. The base salary range for this position for all U.S. candidates is $120,000 - $180,000 per year, with eligibility for bonuses, equity grants and a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, 401k and paid time off.
