Job description

The Owner's Representative Construction Manager serves as the Owner's on-site representative throughout construction, commissioning, and project closeout for utility-scale solar projects. This role monitors EPC contractor performance, ensures compliance with project requirements, identifies project risks, and provides regular reporting to the Owner. Key Responsibilities Represent the Owner from mobilization through commercial operation and project closeout. Monitor EPC contractor performance across civil, mechanical, electrical, substation, transmission, SCADA, testing, and commissioning activities. Verify compliance with contracts, drawings, specifications, schedules, quality standards, and permits. Review engineering documents, RFIs, submittals, field changes, and as-built documentation. Track project schedule, critical path, procurement, productivity, and milestone progress. Identify and escalate safety, quality, schedule, technical, and commercial risks. Monitor inspections, testing, commissioning, punch lists, and turnover documentation. Support payment application reviews, change orders, claims, and milestone verification. Attend project meetings and coordinate with the Owner's team, engineers, utilities, AHJs, and stakeholders. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports while maintaining accurate project documentation. Oversee Owner-supplied equipment deliveries, inspections, and testing. Required Qualifications 5+ years of construction, engineering, or project management experience, including 3+ years on utility-scale solar or power generation projects. Strong understanding of utility-scale PV systems, including DC collection, MV systems, substations, SCADA, and utility interconnection. Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, contracts, schedules, and commissioning documents. Experience monitoring EPC contractors without directing construction activities. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software such as Bluebeam, Procore, Primavera P6, Autodesk Construction Cloud, or Microsoft Project. Preferred Qualifications OSHA 30, or First Aid/CPR certification. Experience with BESS, substations, transmission, or renewable energy project turnover. Previous experience representing an owner, developer, independent engineer, or owner's engineer. #J-18808-Ljbffr
