They collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and estimators to ensure accurate project costs, timelines, and feasibility. Their role includes risk assessment, value engineering, and helping secure new business by preparing winning proposals. This position is crucial for setting projects up for success and minimizing unforeseen issues during construction.

How does a director of preconstruction typically interact with project stakeholders during the early phases of a construction project?

A Director of Preconstruction plays a key role in facilitating communication between owners, design teams, estimators, and subcontractors during the initial stages of a project. They lead meetings to clarify project goals, review design documents, and ensure that budget and schedule expectations are realistic and aligned with stakeholder objectives.
