Position Overview

The Director Client Management will lead a team focused on managing a strategic book of business comprised of vertically aligned clients and will drive growth for Business Units by achieving annual revenue targets, ensuring client retention, fostering growth with additional products and services, and ensure Zelis is always exceeding client expectations while driving a superior OneZelis customer experience. The Director will develop and nurture critical internal and external relationships to sustain and build upon Zelis' value proposition and work collaboratively across the enterprise to achieve their clients goals and objectives. The Director will drive efforts to promote OneZelis, OneTeam inclusive of cross-training and product education within the team.

Responsibilities:

  • In partnership withClient Managementleadership, ensures robust strategies and client plans are developed and captured inSalesforcefor all clients withintheir book of business

  • Management of revenuefor assignedteam andclientsinclusive of payors in the enterprise

  • Establish regular cadence for review of budgets,forecastsandproductutilizationforassigned book of business

  • Ensuresthat team goals forclientrenewals &retentionareachievedorsurpassed

  • Establish risk identification and mitigationstrategiesforvolume decreases, service gaps, changes in clientrelationships,and key advocates. Escalates to key leadershippartners, develops initialrisk mitigationstrategyandensuresexecution of agreed uponrisk mitigation strategies.

  • Enables team to drive revenue growth through existing product optimization;ensures that teamunderstandsandcan effectivelycommunicate Zelis' key differentiators, product strategy, productfeaturesand functionalitywithapplicability to client

  • Coordinatesimpactanalysisintake and deliveryforexisting solutionsyielding opportunity to engage with clientstodemonstrateadditionalvalue for new and/or expanded productutilization

  • Managesclient fee requests/or considerations for existing products; collaborateswithinthe business to provideOneZelisopportunitiesand solutionswhileunderstandingtheimpact of dependenciesacross the business

  • Ensured that team is abreast ofthe regulatory environment anditsimpactonZelisclients. Proactively engages strategies to achieve value from the Zelis platformin relation to the regulatory environment

  • Ensuresteam metrics are achievedfor measurement ofhigh-qualityservice delivery andclientsatisfaction; measurements will include NPS scores,timelyescalationand resolution of issuesas well as other internal measures such as:

  • Client Relationship Building- maximizing breadth and depth of relationships;Works closely with clients to intimately understand their business strategies,needsand challenges.

  • Client Audits& Complianceitemsto ensure seamlessandtimelyresponses

  • Client Reporting - delivery according toagreedupon intervals with the ability to provide performance synopsisas well as business insightsdemonstratingtheZelisvalue proposition

  • Escalated Accounts Receivableand work towardstimelyresolutionwithin the Zelis enterprise

  • EnsuresallStewardships/QBRsare completed andoptimizevalue within client book

  • Securing client reference status and permissionin support ofkey Zelis projects, casestudiesorotherZelis initiatives, as needed

  • Client case study selectionas applicable

  • Managesexisting contractsin partnership with SCEs, sales,BUand legal

  • Supports Salesforcross-sell and up-sell initiatives;identifyopportunities and funnel tosalespartnersto incorporate into pipeline

  • Supportsimplementation;serve as liaison between the client and the business to ensure operational efficienciesduring initiation and ramp

  • Monitor documentation and ongoing tracking of key client plansandcontactsinSalesforce

  • Promotes and supports educational opportunities within the team; drives accountability within the team for comprehensive understanding of all Zelis offerings

Skills/BACKGROUND:

  • Bachelor's degree in Businessor Heath Care Administrationor related.

  • 10+ yearsin clientmanagement role, 5+ years in leadership role

  • Demonstrated success inrevenue management and increasedutilizationwithin an assigned book of businessfor individually assignedaccounts as well assolidtrack recordofachievementforteam goals

  • Extremely knowledgeable in the Payor and/orTPA space

  • Ability to lead and manage a team in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent presentation, public speaking, and meeting management capabilities. Ability to tailor messages to audiences

  • Provencollaboration with keybusinesspartners:Sales, Operations, Marketing, Leadership

  • Ability toanticipatefuture trends and incorporate them intobusiness reviewplanning

  • Synthesizes complex issues and communicates clearlywithboth clients and internal stakeholders

  • Ability to communicate and interact formally and informally with Directors, VPs,Sales, Legaland Senior Executives;demonstratesEnterprise thinking with ability to influence; proven ability to influence acrossa matrix as well as with leadership

  • Experienceleveragingdata and reporting toaccuratelyidentifyclient and industry trends; able to synthesize data into compelling narratives

  • Demonstrates sense of urgency and ability to multi-task and prioritize

  • Strong listening and comprehension skills, ability to understand and address client concerns, feedback, and appropriately manage discussions with clients

Location and Workplace Flexibility

Zelis is headquartered in the U.S., with multiple locations across the country and in Hyderabad, India. Check out our locations to learn more about our offices. All employee work locations are based on the needs of the position and are determined by the Leadership team. In-office work and activities vary based on work and team objectives in accordance with Company policies.


While location expectations vary by role, candidates within approximately 50 miles of a U.S. office are generally preferred to support collaboration when needed. Our hybrid approach is flexible, and in-office presence is guided by team and business needs rather than a fixed weekly schedule.

Base Salary Range

$139,000.00 - $176,700.00

At Zelis we are committed to providing fair and equitable compensation packages. The base salary range allows us to make an offer that considers multiple individualized factors, including experience, education, qualifications, as well as job-related and industry-related knowledge and skills, etc. Base pay is just one part of our Total Rewards package, which may also include discretionary bonus plans, commissions, or other incentives depending on the role.
