A Director Advanced Practice Remote is a healthcare leader responsible for overseeing advanced practice providers (such as nurse practitioners and physician assistants) and their operations, but works remotely rather than on-site. This role involves managing teams, developing clinical protocols, ensuring compliance, and supporting professional development, all through virtual means. The Director collaborates with other healthcare administrators and clinicians to ensure quality patient care and efficient workflow, leveraging technology to stay connected with staff and operations. Remote directors use various digital tools to maintain communication, monitor performance, and implement best practices across dispersed teams.

Job description

Madrigal is a biopharmaceutical company focused on delivering novel therapeutics for metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH), a serious liver disease that can progress to cirrhosis, liver failure, need for liver transplantation and premature mortality. Every member of our Madrigal team is connected by our shared purpose: leading the fight against MASH.

Madrigal's medication, Rezdiffra (resmetirom), is a once-daily, oral, liver-directed THR- agonist designed to target key underlying causes of MASH. Rezdiffra is the first and only medication approved by both the FDA and European Commission for the treatment of MASH with moderate to advanced fibrosis (F2 to F3). An ongoing Phase 3 outcomes trial is evaluating Rezdiffra for the treatment of compensated MASH cirrhosis (F4c).

Our success is driven by our people. We are building a dynamic, inclusive, and high-performing culture that values scientific excellence, operational rigor, and collaboration. To support our continued growth, we are strengthening our workforce strategy to ensure we have the right talent, at the right time, in the right way.

Director, Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Initiatives

Overview: The Director of APP Initiatives will serve as a vital liaison between the Advanced Practice Providers organizations, supergroups, and the broader organizational framework. This role is instrumental in coordinating educational resources and initiatives that align with organizational goals while addressing the evolving needs of our partners. The Director will drive structured growth opportunities for Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), advocate for tailored education, and gather strategic insights to enhance APP-specific programs.

This position will play a crucial role in supporting the execution of current and future brand and disease-state strategies related to APP Engagement/Advocacy, Brand/Market Insights, and the Commercial APP Speaker Bureau.

Reporting to the Senior Director, APP Initiatives, this role will be integrated within the Thought Leader Liaison team, collaborating with regional stakeholders to foster relationships with APP thought leaders in academic and clinical settings nationwide.

As with all employees, the Director of APP Initiatives is fully accountable for compliance with all laws, regulations, and policies that govern the conduct of Madrigal activities.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide Enhanced Collaboration by acting as a commercial liaison between key APP associations and GI supergroups/IDNs, as applicable, to ensure seamless communication and coordination of APP educational resources and initiatives. This role is responsible for developing and implementing strategies that align APP initiatives with organizational goals, fostering a collaborative environment across all stakeholders.

Support APP growth and education by designing and executing educational frameworks that support APPs in deepening their knowledge in MASH. Recognize the unique educational needs of APPs operating in diverse practice environments, ensuring that initiatives are relevant and impactful. Collaborate with key stakeholders to assess and address the specific educational requirements of APPs across various settings.

Generate Strategic Insights by gathering, analyzing, and relaying feedback from APPs to inform strategic planning. By collaborating closely with marketing, the Director of APP initiatives will help facilitate the development of APP-specific content and resources that are responsive to real-world needs and feedback.

Foster connection within the APP community by building and nurturing relationships while demonstrating Madrigal's commitment to supporting their needs in optimizing NASH patient care. Facilitate engagements at key APP conference events, workshops, and other initiatives.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven success in launching specialty products in complex markets.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strategic thinking with the ability to analyze data and gather insights.

  • Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively cross-functionally without direct authority.

  • Strong project management experience with superior analytical and planning skills.
