This role involves coordinating with designers, printers, and mailing services to ensure that materials are produced accurately, on schedule, and within budget. Direct mail campaigns are commonly used by businesses and organizations to reach potential customers, donors, or members. Job description

Direct Mail Inserter Operator - Experience Required

WEEKDAY SCHEDULE - TYPICALLY ONLY Monday - Friday.

***Please indicate your mailing inserter equipment experience in your resume if applying for this position. We are only accepting applications that include specific experience. ***

"This isn't your typical lettershop job."

If you've spent time in a shop where nobody listened, the boss was a wall away, and your ideas went nowhere — this is going to feel different. Really different.

Bliss Media is a fast-growing direct mail company serving niche markets through a genuinely innovative online platform. Because our work flows through a custom software portal, our production environment is more consistent, more process-driven, and honestly more interesting than most shops you've worked in. And because we're growing fast, what you do here actually moves the needle.

We're looking for someone with real hands-on experience — experience running mailing inserters — who takes pride in their craft, can manage themselves so others don't need to, and actually wants to understand how the whole operation fits together, not just punch in and punch out. If you already know your way around makeready, jam clearing, and keeping a run dialed in, we want to talk to you.

Oh, yeah, and a positive attitude about improving as a team.

What Makes This Place Different

We have a "dynamic leadership" culture — meaning every team member is trusted to lead when they naturally should and support when that's what's needed. There are no different-colored shirts, and no office-vs-production divide here. Your input is heard, your ideas are welcomed, and your growth is genuinely supported.

Our production runs on a proprietary platform unlike anything in a traditional lettershop—meaning less fighting the equipment and more running it well. We sell products, not one-off direct mail packages.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Operating and troubleshooting inserters, and eventually cutters, folders, and digital printers too (will train you where you have little or no experience)
  • Owning quality and consistency on your runs
  • Diagnosing issues fast and performing routine maintenance
  • Collaborating with teammates to hit deadlines without the drama
  • Contributing ideas to improve workflow — because we actually implement them
  • Mentoring and helping train newer team members as you settle in

We're Looking for Someone Who Is:

  • Experienced with mailing inserters or similar direct mail equipment
  • Mechanically inclined, able to troubleshoot and adjust equipment on the fly
  • Humble and hardworking
  • Curious and self-motivated
  • Reliable and collaborative
  • Ready to bring real experience into a place that'll actually use it

What You'll Get

  • Competitive pay based on your experience (let us know what you are seeking)
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • Life insurance
  • Paid time off
  • Retirement plan
  • Flexible schedule
  • A workplace where you'll actually look forward to coming in

To Apply: Include your resume and your requested wage. We read every application personally. Tell us what equipment you've run — we want to know.

Job Type: Full-time

Benefits:

  • Dental insurance
  • Flexible schedule
  • Health insurance
  • Life insurance
  • Paid time off
  • Retirement plan
  • Vision insurance

We look forward to hearing from you!
