Job description

Full Time, Salary Exempt Position
Pay: $85,000 per year.
Role: Oversees all Dining Services team members by providing guidance, training and directions to associates. Acts as a liaison with other members of the Leadership Team, residents, and family members.
Responsibilities:
  • Ensures the provision of a continuous high quality of service within the Dining Services department through ongoing supervision, oversight and delegation.
  • Ensures proper sanitation and compliance to all Health Department regulations and company guidelines related to food service.
  • Responsible for the procurement of food and food service supplies; production of food; keeping department within budget within established guidelines and submits recommendations for budget completion, equipment and supplies.
  • Works in concert with other members of Leadership Team to ensure dietary needs of residents are met and planning/implementation of special events; maintains effective communication between Leadership Team, residents, and family members; makes written and oral reports as necessary.
  • Performs continuous, ongoing, supervision of all Dining Services staff including but not limited to recruiting, retaining, disciplining, counseling, motivating, scheduling, and evaluating; establishes and builds rapport among team members to facilitate teamwork.

Requirements:
  • High School Diploma and educational background in Culinary Arts (required)
  • Managing in high volume production kitchens with at least 30 staff members under their direction
  • Knowledge and ability to operate all food service equipment.
  • Knowledge of all applicable governmental regulations related to food service.
  • Knowledge of the physiology, psychology and dietary needs of older adults.
