Digital and Production Designer

Summary

We are seeking a hands-on Digital and Production Designer to support website content execution, email marketing production, digital and print asset creation, in-store signage, company documents, executive and external partner materials, and on-site production needs. This role is not simply a traditional design role. It is a practical, execution-focused resource that moves creative work from concept to finished output across digital, print, physical Store, and business communication environments.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, technically capable, visually thoughtful, and comfortable working in a fast-moving retail environment. This person must be able to create polished digital and print materials, update website content, build and deploy email campaigns, produce in-store signage, support on-site installation of standard interior signs and displays, and develop professional company materials for meetings, reports, presentations, and external partners.

The role requires strong judgment in writing, editing, and proofreading, as this person will help produce customer-facing website copy, email content, signage copy, advertising materials, company documents, executive materials, partner-facing materials, and other public-facing communications.

This role also requires the ability to translate data and analytics into clear visual materials, including charts, infographics, executive summaries, and report graphics that support company communication and external presentations.

Regular on-site availability in Princeton is required. The role includes using company equipment, such as standard and large-format printers, to produce timely signage and marketing materials for store, event, promotional, meeting, and business communication needs.

Key Responsibilities

Website Content and Digital Production

  • Configure and update website content within NetSuite SuiteCommerce.
  • Support homepage updates, landing pages, promotional content, product features, collection pages, and other digital merchandising needs.
  • Create and resize website graphics, banners, tiles, and related visual assets.
  • Apply basic HTML/CSS knowledge to support light website configuration and content adjustments.
  • Partner with merchandising, ecommerce, and leadership to ensure website updates reflect current business priorities, product launches, promotions, events, and seasonal initiatives.
  • Maintain visual consistency across website content, ensuring digital assets are clear, accurate, brandappropriate, and consumerfacing.
  • Email Marketing Design and Deployment

  • Design email assets for promotional campaigns, product launches, newsletters, event communications, and customer engagement initiatives.
  • Build and deploy email campaigns in Klaviyo or related email platforms.
  • Ensure email layouts are visually clear, mobileconscious, and aligned with campaign objectives.
  • Coordinate email content with merchandising, ecommerce, and leadership to support seasonal, eventbased, and businessdriving priorities.
  • Maintain consistent use of approved brand direction, typography, colors, imagery, and messaging standards.
  • Support basic email testing, proofing, link review, and deployment readiness.
  • Print, Signage, and In-Store Production

  • Design, produce, and print instore signage, including promotional signs, product signs, category signs, tabletop signs, window or fixtureadjacent materials, and other standard interior store communications.
  • Operate standard and largeformat printers using company equipment.
  • Prepare files for print production, including sizing, formatting, proofing, and final output.
  • Install standard interior signs and wallmounted materials in store environments.
  • Support signage needs for events, popups, seasonal transitions, athletic events, and temporary retail activity.
  • Ensure all instore materials are accurate, professional, properly installed, and aligned with the Store’s visual and brand standards.
  • Digital Screens, Advertising, and Marketing Assets

  • Create graphics for instore televisions, digital monitors, and other digital display formats.
  • Design, print, and digital advertising materials as needed.
  • Create assets for digital advertising, including Google Ads and related campaign graphics.
  • Produce marketing materials for product launches, seasonal campaigns, events, special initiatives, and customer communications.
  • Support adaptation of creative assets across multiple formats, including website, email, signage, digital screens, print, and advertising.
  • Company Documents, Reports, and Executive Materials

  • Create polished company documents, reports, presentations, and meeting materials for internal leadership, company meetings, boardrelated preparation, vendor conversations, and external partners.
  • Design executive materials that are clear, professional, visually organized, and appropriate for seniorlevel discussion and decisionmaking.
  • Create infographics, charts, tables, summary pages, and other visual tools using data and analytics to support company reports and executive communication.
  • Partner with leadership to format and refine materials so they are accurate, wellwritten, visually consistent, and ready for internal or external use.
  • Maintain templates and reusable formats for company documents, reports, executive summaries, and presentation materials to improve consistency and efficiency over time.

  • Follow Princeton University Store brand direction and approved internal design standards.
  • Route materials for review and approval before publication, printing, deployment, or installation as required.
  • Maintain professionalism and accuracy in all publicfacing, partnerfacing, and executivefacing materials.
  • Ensure materials reflect the quality, credibility, and heritage of the Princeton University Store.
  • Tools, Technology, and AI-Enabled Production

  • Use Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, NetSuite SuiteCommerce, Klaviyo, Microsoft Office, presentation tools, and other relevant creative and digital production tools.
  • Use ChatGPT image tools and other AIenabled creative platforms appropriately to support production efficiency, concept development, image generation, resizing, versioning, workflow improvement, document development, and presentation support.
  • Apply sound judgment when using AIgenerated or AIassisted creative materials, ensuring outputs are reviewed, refined, brandappropriate, accurate, and suitable for commercial, executive, or external use.
  • Create organized visual materials, including charts, infographics, report graphics, templates, and executive presentation assets.
  • Maintain organized working files, final assets, templates, and productionready materials for future use by the Store.
  • Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Digital Media, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience in design, production, website content, company documents, and customerfacing communications.
  • Demonstrated ability to write, edit, proofread, and refine clear, professional copy for website, email, signage, advertising, company documents, executive materials, external partner materials, and other marketing or business communications.
  • Demonstrated experience in graphic design, digital production, website content management, marketing production, document design, presentation design, or a related field.
  • Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Experience creating reports, company documents, and executive materials.
  • Ability to create infographics, charts, visual summaries, and presentation graphics using data and analytics to support company reports, executive materials, and decisionmaking.
  • Experience building or supporting email campaigns, preferably in Klaviyo or a similar platform.
  • Experience creating website graphics, landing page assets, promotional banners, and digital marketing materials.
  • Working knowledge of HTML/CSS and basic content management processes.
  • Experience with NetSuite SuiteCommerce or a similar ecommerce platform preferred.
  • Ability to prepare files for print and digital output with strong attention to size, format, resolution, proofing, and accuracy.
