Job description

Mastech Digital provides digital and mainstream technology staff as well as Digital Transformation Services for all American Corporations. We are currently seeking a DevOps Engineer for our client in the Banking domain. We value our professionals, providing comprehensive benefits and the opportunity for growth. This is a Contract-to-Hire position, and the client is looking for someone to start immediately.

Duration: Contract-to-Hire

Location: Pittsburgh, PA or Strongsville, OH or Dallas, TX or Birmingham, AL or Phoenix, AZ (Hybrid, 3 days a week)

Salary: $65.00-$70.00/Hourly

Role: DevOps Engineer

Primary Skills: JavaScript

Role Description: The DevOps Engineer must have 7+ years of experience.

Must Have Skills:

- Experience with deploying applications to Kubernetes/OpenShift using Helm (this is the most important of them all as this is the point of the first initiative)

- 5+ years of experience in Software Engineering with languages like Golang, Python, Java or JavaScript

- Experience in CI/CD Pipelines with and understanding of integrating tools like Jenkins, Github, Jfrog Artifactory

- Experience developing Jenkins Shared Libraries in Groovy

- Experience with GitHub Actions

- Experience developing and integrating with APIs

- Expertise with Git and tools such as BitBucket/GitHub/Azure DevOps Server.

- Experience with Container Technologies – Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift

- Experience writing Docker files and Building images for containerized services

Nice to Have:

- Experience with Mobile Pipeline Development using Fastlane

Job Responsibilities:

- Modify existing software to correct errors, to adapt it to new hardware or to upgrade interfaces and improve performance.

- Design and develop software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design.

- Consult with engineering staff to evaluate interface between hardware and software, develop specifications and performance requirements and resolve customer problems.

- Advise customer about, or perform, maintenance of software system.

- Develop and direct software system testing and validation procedures.

Education: High School Degree and Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/relevant field or equivalent work experience

Experience: Minimum 7+ years of experience

Relocation: This position will not cover relocation expenses
