Position Overview

Pure Hockey is seeking a highly motivated and strategic Digital Marketing Manager to drive customer engagement and revenue across key digital channels. This role will own and evolve the company's email, SMS, affiliate, and other digital marketing platforms, ensuring a cohesive and personalized customer experience across the entire lifecycle. This individual will play a critical role in aligning digital marketing efforts with the product marketing calendar, partnering closely with buyers and cross-functional teams to bring campaigns to life. The ideal candidate is both data-driven and creative, with strong execution skills and a passion for delivering measurable results.


Job Responsibilities

Own and manage email and SMS marketing programs, including segmentation, automation, personalization, and lifecycle journeys across marketing, transactional, and operational communications 

Plan and execute campaigns end-to-end, from ideation through QA, deployment, and post-campaign analysis 

Develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns aligned with product marketing calendars and key business priorities 

Partner cross-functionally with ecommerce, product, and inventory teams to support launches, optimize post-purchase communications, and drive engagement, retention, and revenue 

Collaborate with creative and content teams to deliver compelling messaging and assets across digital touchpoints 

Manage and grow the affiliate marketing program, including partner relationships, performance optimization, and reporting 

Leverage customer data to inform segmentation, personalization, and conversion strategies 

Monitor and report on performance across owned channels, providing insights and recommendations for continuous optimization 

Identify and implement testing, automation, and process improvements across email, SMS, Narvar, and affiliate channels 

Maintain digital marketing calendars to ensure alignment and consistency across channels and broader business initiatives 

Partner with external platforms and vendors to maximize performance and stay current with industry best practices

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in digital marketing, with a strong focus on lifecycle channels such as email and SMS Strong understanding of email marketing, and experience managing email programs with elevated evel email segmentation
  • Highly analytical and able to derive meaning from data; experience with web analytics tools such as Google Analytics and Excel
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Strong organizational and project management skills 
  • Experience using campaign management tools and m email service providers (ESP) to execute campaigns
  • Understanding of lifecycle marketing and customer acquisition and retention 
  • Ability to manage multiple, simultaneous projects in a fast-paced environment
  • A team player: someone with a willingness to take on additional responsibilities when needed
  • Ability to build relationships, understand stakeholder vision/direction, and present concepts
  • Passionate and knowledgeable about the sport of hockey 
  • College degree or equivalent experience
