Job description

As a Digital Payments and Tokenized Assets Leader at National Bank, you will play a key strategic role in defining how digital money, tokenized deposits, stablecoins, and distributed ledger technologies can transform payment flows, settlement models, and client experiences. Drawing on your experience in payments strategy, digital product development, financial market infrastructure, and technology ecosystem management, you will help position the Bank at the forefront of responsible innovation in tokenized payments and digital assets.

Your Role

  • Define and lead the Bank’s strategy for digital payments and tokenized assets payments to support the evolution of payment and settlement models.
  • Develop and evolve the roadmap of capabilities required to deliver digital payment solutions, including connectivity, liquidity management, interoperability, and integration with existing payment rails.
  • Establish governance, risk management, compliance, and control frameworks adapted to digital assets and evolving regulatory environments.
  • Build and maintain strategic partnerships with industry stakeholders to accelerate the safe and scalable adoption of innovative payment solutions.
  • Identify, evaluate, and bring to market high-value use cases in digital payments and tokenized assets.
  • Mobilize multidisciplinary teams around a common vision that promotes responsible innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Prerequisites

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field combined with significant experience in strategy, technology, or financial services.
  • Proven experience developing, launching, or scaling products, services, or infrastructure related to payments, digital assets, stablecoins, tokenized deposits, tokenization, blockchain, or distributed ledger technologies.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory, Solid understanding of regulatory, risk, compliance, financial crime, and prudential considerations applicable to digital assets, tokenized money, payment systems, and emerging financial market infrastructures.
  • Experience building strategic partnerships and managing complex stakeholder ecosystems.
  • In-depth knowledge of payment technology platforms, digital asset infrastructure, security, resilience, interoperability, data flows, and integration between traditional banking systems and blockchain-based networks.
