Job description

Description:

KidsQuest Children’s Museum is seeking a creative, strategic, and highly organized Digital Content Lead to help bring our mission of joyful, play-based learning to life across digital platforms. In this role, you’ll lead the development and execution of digital content across social media, web, and paid channels with the goal of connecting families, caregivers, educators, donors, community partners, and the greater Puget Sound Region to the organization in meaningful ways.

You are a storyteller and a doer: someone who can turn ideas into engaging content, manage projects with multiple collaborators, anticipate outcomes, and use data to continuously improve. Working closely with the Senior Marketing Manager, you will shape our digital content strategy, ensuring consistency, creativity, and relevance across every channel. You will play a key part in driving museum attendance, support fundraising and development initiatives, and help us build excitement for KidsQuest’s next chapter.

At KidsQuest, we value curiosity, collaboration, and learning. We encourage you to join us as we experiment, reflect, and grow together.

Job status: Full-Time, Non-Exempt

Pay Rate: $34-36 per hour

Position reports to: Senior Marketing Manager

Work Week: 38hrs per week, Monday-Friday, Hybrid – 1-2 days in office

Some weekends, evenings, special events, and additional in-office days are required throughout the year.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

CONTENT STRATEGY & EXECUTION

  • Own KidsQuest’s digital content strategy end to end: plan, create, test, and optimize content across all channels.
  • Develop and maintain a digital content calendar aligned with museum programming, events, fundraising initiatives, and organizational priorities.
  • Leverage productivity tools (including AI) to accelerate ideation, content production, and workflow efficiency.
  • Proactively monitor trends, platform updates, and best practices to keep KidsQuest’s digital presence fresh, relevant, and effective.
  • Prioritize work effectively across multiple projects and deadlines. Balance planning with flexibility.

SOCIAL MEDIA & CONTENT CREATION

  • Capture and produce photo and video content on-site, highlighting exhibits, programs, events, visitors, and behind-the-scenes moments.
  • Create original, engaging, and on-brand content across formats, including video (short-form and long-form), static graphics, stories, reels, and ad units.
  • Write clear, compelling copy that reflects KidsQuest’s brand voice and values.
  • Actively engage with followers, respond to comments and messages, and foster a positive and inclusive online community.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Marketing Manager to support campaign messaging, including development and capital campaign storytelling.

  • Plan, launch, and optimize paid social and digital advertising campaigns.
  • Develop and execute influencer marketing strategy, including identifying partners, managing relationships, and measuring impact.

ANALYTICS & PERFORMANCE

  • Track, analyze, and report on content, social, and paid campaign performance using analytics tools.
  • Use data to understand what’s working (and what’s not) and adjust quickly
  • Turn metrics into clear, compelling narratives that inform decision-making and keep leadership confident in the direction of our digital strategy.

WEBSITE & EMAIL MARKETING

  • Update and maintain website content as needed to keep information current, accurate, and on-brand.
  • Develop, manage, and execute e-blast content, including ideation, copywriting, design, scheduling, and list management, to engage families, donors, and community partners.
  • Track email performance and apply insights to improve open rates, engagement, and conversions.
  • Ensure consistency across web, email, social, and paid channels.

BRAND & COLLABORATION

  • Ensure all content aligns with KidsQuest brand standards, tone, and visual identity.
  • Collaborate closely with teammates and external partners to gather stories and content ideas.
  • Support marketing campaigns, special events, and community initiatives with timely and relevant content.
  • Model KidsQuest’s values of curiosity, play, and inclusion in all interactions, both online and with colleagues
