What You'll Do

  • Lead the firm's U.S. social media strategy, including organic, paid, leadership channels, lawyer training, and employee advocacy.

  • Own the U.S. content calendar and manage the end-to-end planning, creation, scheduling, and publishing of high-quality content aligned with the firm's strategic priorities.

  • Advise on social media best practices and deliver compelling owned and paid content as part of wider marketing and communications initiatives across the U.S., including strategic marketing initiatives, corporate news, thought leadership, and brand-building content.

  • Actively monitor internal and external news to identify items of interest and impact for the firm's social media channels in the U.S. region.

  • Report on channel performance, analyze monthly trends and the impact of marketing and communications initiatives, and apply insights to continuously improve digital communications.

  • Lead agency relationships, including briefing agencies and developing content and paid media strategies for the U.S. region.

  • Deliver an effective employee advocacy strategy and manage employee advocacy tools to maximize brand awareness and staff engagement with social media across the U.S. region.

  • Coordinate with the global Digital Communications team across Asia, Australia, and EMEA to ensure consistency of messaging, brand voice, and strategic alignment across all regions.

  • Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.

  • Perform other duties, as assigned.

  • Be present at work during regularly scheduled working hours and as needed in the position, consistent with the firm's attendance expectations.

What You'll Bring

  • In-depth knowledge of how to effectively leverage social media and broader digital marketing, with a commitment to learning and applying new developments.

  • Deep understanding of LinkedIn, including the ability to train others in person and online, and a genuine passion for growing and maintaining an engaged audience.

  • Ability to produce quick, clean, and engaging copy for digital channels, including under time pressure.

  • Strong sub-editing and proofreading skills, with the ability to comply with a style and brand guide and confidently understand and apply tone-of-voice guidance.

  • Ability to work with internal teams to understand their objectives and audiences and develop strategic content plans that bring ideas to life for the target audience.

  • Experience managing agency relationships and briefings.

  • Experience leading social media for multichannel campaigns that include social media, email, public relations, PPC, and display.

  • Excellent communication and networking skills across a wide range of situations and with people at all levels of the organization, including global leadership.

  • Demonstrated cultural awareness and sensitivity when working with colleagues across U.S. and global offices.

  • Personable, enthusiastic, and proactive.

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least six years of experience in digital communications or social media, including providing strategic counsel and hands-on execution.

  • Experience developing, delivering, and reporting on the success of social media strategies and processes.

  • B2B or professional services experience is preferred, ideally in a legal or financial services environment.

  • Bachelor's degree is preferred.

  • Experience building, running, and monitoring paid social campaigns within LinkedIn Campaign Manager, or transferable experience building paid social campaigns on other platforms.

  • Experience managing or rolling out a successful employee advocacy strategy.

  • Good eye for design and the ability to capture or source photographic material to support content.

  • Experience using brand templates to create visual assets and working with internal design teams to brief projects.

  • Experience with broader digital marketing practices, including PPC, CRM systems, email marketing, Google Analytics, GA4, SEM, SEO, GEO, and display advertising.

  • Experience with social media reporting and scheduling tools, including Sprout Social, Hootsuite, Oktopost, or Sprinklr.

  • Experience with employee advocacy platforms, including Haiilo and DSMN8.

  • Proficiency with Canva or comparable brand-template tools.

This position may be filled in the following location(s). The listed compensation range reflects the typical pay for this role, though it is rare for new hires to receive an offer at the top of the range. Actual compensation may vary depending on experience, skills, market conditions, and internal equity.

San Francisco Bay Area compensation range: $119,000 to $180,870 annually

Colorado compensation range: $93,240 to $141,710 annually

Los Angeles compensation range: $108,580 to $165,030 annually

San Diego compensation range: $107,200 to $162,930 annually

New York compensation range: $108,190 to $164,430 annually

Washington state compensation range: $98,350 to $149,480 annually

Washington, D.C. compensation range: $106,220 to $161,440 annually
