Role Description: Davidson Kempner's Asset Management department supports our investment team in managing the day to day of the Firm's Asset Backed Finance platforms, loan portfolios and real estate/structured product/transportation assets with the goal of maximizing performance. This is not a purely process-driven role. It is an opportunity to take ownership of outcomes, improve systems, and act as a trusted partner to investment teams.
Role Overview
  • Act as a central coordinator between investment teams, lenders, calculation agents, servicers, trustees, and internal teams to ensure accurate and timely transaction execution.
  • Execute complex workflows across multiple asset classes, deals and counterparties.
  • Maintain control over cash movements, reporting deliverables, and portfolio data with a strong focus on data integrity & analytics.
  • Support both ongoing asset management and new originations, including deal onboarding, diligence coordination, and transaction funding.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications:
  • Demonstration of academic excellence
  • Advanced Excel skills (a must).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with meticulous attention to detail and ability to multi-task. High energy and comfortable functioning in a dynamic environment
  • Comfortable working in a team environment
  • Intellectually curious, driven and motivated. Interest in financial markets and investment management.
  • Strong financial and analytical skills and a well-developed understanding of key investment performance drivers.
  • CPA/CFA designation, and/or MBA degree, a plus

US Base Salary Range
$35-$35 USD
