Job description

Las Vegas, Nevada
The SHOW comes alive at MGM Resorts International
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to work in a place full of excitement, diversity, and entertainment? Are you enthusiastic about being a team player in one of the most fascinating industries in the world? At MGM Resorts, we seek individuals like YOU to create unique and show-stopping experiences for our guests.
THE JOB:
The Director of Digital Product Analytics is responsible for owning and advancing analytics across MGM Resorts' digital products, including web, mobile app, digital booking and eCommerce flows, digital check-in, digital key, chat bots, loyalty experiences, and other customer-facing digital capabilities. This role is accountable for translating customer interactions across digital touchpoints into actionable insights that improve product adoption, reduce friction, increase conversion, and drive digital revenue.
This leader will oversee both the measurement foundation (tagging, data structure, governance, and tooling) and the insight generation required to understand how customers engage with MGM's digital ecosystem. The Director leads a team of digital and product analysts while remaining hands-on, applying strong technical skills and deep digital analytics expertise to complex business problems.
THE DAY-TO-DAY:
  • Own digital product analytics across MGM's web, app, and emerging digital experiences, including booking and eCommerce flows, product and property pages, loyalty enrollment and account management, digital check-in and digital key usage, app installs and engagement, and other self-service customer journeys; identify friction points, drop-offs, and behavioral patterns that impact conversion, usage, and customer satisfaction.
  • Lead and execute deep, hands-on analysis using digital analytics tools and raw data, leveraging platforms such as Adobe Analytics and related technologies while also directly querying data using SQL, Python, or similar languages to analyze large, complex datasets; translate findings into clear insights and recommendations for product, technology, and business partners.
  • Own the digital analytics instrumentation and data foundation, including tagging strategy and implementation for web and app experiences, event and data layer design, validation and QA processes, and ongoing data quality monitoring; ensure analytics data is reliable, scalable, and structured to support downstream reporting, experimentation, and data ingestion into enterprise data platforms.
  • Partner closely with Product, Technology, Data, and MarTech teams to design and evolve the digital analytics architecture, including analytics tool administration, data governance standards, identity considerations, and integrations with data warehouses and other analytics tools; influence platform and tooling decisions as digital products and customer needs evolve.
  • Establish and lead a robust digital experimentation and optimization capability, partnering with product and UX teams to develop hypotheses, define success metrics, ensure proper tracking and measurement for A/B and multivariate tests, analyze results, and create a repeatable learning loop
  • Evaluate and apply AI-enabled analytics and experimentation approaches (e.g., advanced behavioral analysis, anomaly detection, predictive insights, and automation) to accelerate learning, improve decision-making, and scale optimization across digital products.
  • Develop a deep understanding of customer segments and interaction patterns across digital touchpoints, differentiating how various customer types engage with MGM's digital products; collaborate with product leaders, marketing, and customer teams to identify opportunities to increase digital adoption, improve conversion, grow digital revenue, and reduce customer friction.
  • Lead, mentor, and grow a team of digital and product analytics professionals, setting clear expectations for technical rigor, analytical depth, and business impact. Balance strategic leadership with hands-on contribution, ensuring the team delivers high-quality analysis, clear storytelling, and trusted insights that drive product and customer experience decisions.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
  • The ideal candidate brings 7+ years of prior relevant experience in digital, product, or analytics roles, with a strong track record of improving business performance through data-driven insights and optimization. They have experience leading and developing analytics teams, setting analytical standards, prioritizing initiatives, and balancing hands-on execution with strategic leadership.
  • This individual demonstrates strong technical expertise in SQL and Python, along with experience working in modern data platforms such as Azure Databricks or similar environments. They possess deep knowledge of digital analytics tools (e.g., Adobe Analytics, Adobe Launch, Google Tag Manager) and have proven experience analyzing web and mobile behavior, including funnels, conversion, engagement, and customer journeys.
  • The ideal candidate has experience designing and analyzing A/B tests, establishing measurement strategies, and ensuring strong tagging, data quality, and analytics governance practices. They effectively communicate insights through visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI and translate analysis into actionable business recommendations.
  • With strong analytical and financial acumen, this strategic leader leverages emerging analytics and AI-driven approaches to enhance experimentation, insight generation, and digital performance.

THE PERKS & BENEFITS:
  • Wellness incentive programs to help you stay healthy physically and mentally
  • Access to company hotel, food and beverage, retail, and entertainment discounts as well as discounts with company partners on things like travel, electronics, online shopping, and more
  • Free meals in our employee dining room
  • Free parking on and off shift
  • Health & Income Protection benefits (for eligible employees)
