This role is designed with a distinctive growth path: you'll begin in Burson Digital's center of excellence, deepen your skills through varied client work and, as your experience and corporate portfolio grow, have the opportunity to transition into the digital team within Burson's Corporate & Public Affairs practice.
This role may be based in New York, Chicago or Washington, DC.
What you'll do:
  • Conduct social and digital audits, identify meaningful findings and clearly communicate recommendations to senior team members.
  • Build and refine social listening queries and use tools such as Brandwatch-or comparable platforms such as Meltwater, Talkwalker or Sprinklr-to monitor conversations, culture, trends, audience behavior and emerging issues.
  • Support real-time and crisis monitoring, helping teams understand what is happening, why it matters and how clients may need to respond.

  • Develop, draft and edit audience-first content for corporate and executive channels, translating business and communications priorities into platform-relevant ideas and copy.
  • Contribute to organic and paid social programs across channels such as LinkedIn, X, YouTube, Instagram and Reddit, coordinating with paid media, strategy, measurement, insights, creative and other digital specialists.
  • Conduct competitive research and support audience profiling to inform corporate social strategies, content and client deliverables.
  • Stay curious about evolving platforms, online communities, culture and audience behavior, and proactively bring new ideas to the team.

  • Support day-to-day client and account needs by preparing high-quality deliverables, contributing to meetings and building strong working relationships with internal and client teams.
  • Manage timelines, workflows and deliverables across multiple workstreams; raise observations early and keep collaborators informed of progress, findings and opportunities.
Experience that contributes to success:
  • Approximately 1 year of post undergraduate experience supporting social media, digital communications or integrated communications work.
  • Experience with social listening, including writing or refining queries and interpreting the resulting data.
  • Familiarity with Brandwatch or a comparable social listening and analytics platform, such as Meltwater, Talkwalker or Sprinklr.
  • Experience contributing to social audits, competitive research, audience profiling, trend analysis, issues monitoring or crisis monitoring.
  • Familiarity with creator or influencer identification; experience with CreatorIQ is helpful.
  • An understanding of organic and paid social and an interest in how media, strategy, measurement, insights and creative work together to support corporate and public affairs goals.
  • Familiarity with major social platforms, including LinkedIn, X, YouTube, Instagram and Reddit, and an interest in their distinct audiences and best practices.
  • The ability to turn observations into clear implications, recommendations and ideas.
