Job description

About Chief Detective:
Chief Detective is a performance marketing agency helping fast-growing startups and established retail brands scale revenue and acquisition through paid digital channels. Recognized as a top agency on Meta, we're expanding rapidly across platforms including TikTok, Google, and CTV.
We specialize in e-commerce and partner with leading direct-to-consumer brands in luxury apparel, beauty, health & wellness and lifestyle. Our clients include Rag & Bone, Ursa Major, Buck Mason, Frank & Eileen, TWP and more.
About the Role:
The UGC Program Manager owns the successful execution and continuous improvement of Chief Detective's User-Generated Content (UGC) program. Serving as the operational hub between clients, Growth Partners, Creative Strategists, creators, and internal production teams, this role is responsible for delivering high-quality creator content on time, on budget, and with exceptional communication throughout every stage of the process.
Success in this role extends beyond campaign coordination. The UGC Program Manager is expected to build and maintain a reliable creator network, proactively solve operational challenges, improve internal processes, and create a best-in-class experience for both clients and creators.
This role is ultimately accountable for ensuring our UGC program operates with consistency, transparency, urgency, and professionalism while continually evolving into a scalable, repeatable service offering.
What You'll Do:
Creator Recruitment & Relationship Management
Own the sourcing, onboarding, and management of a diverse network of high-quality UGC creators capable of supporting client objectives across multiple industries.
Responsibilities include:
  • Source and recruit creators aligned with client demographics and creative needs
  • Build and maintain an active creator database
  • Vet creators for quality, communication, reliability, and turnaround speed
  • Negotiate compensation and usage rights
  • Manage creator relationships throughout campaign lifecycles
  • Build a preferred roster of trusted creators for repeat engagement
  • Continually expand and diversify the creator network

UGC Campaign Management
Manage multiple simultaneous UGC programs from kickoff through final asset delivery. The UGC Program Manager should confidently manage approximately 5-8 active client programs simultaneously while maintaining exceptional organization and communication.
Responsibilities include:
  • Coordinate creator outreach and selection
  • Manage product shipments and creator logistics
  • Distribute briefs and campaign requirements
  • Execute creator contracts through DocuSign
  • Track campaign milestones and deadlines
  • Collect, organize, and deliver creator assets
  • Coordinate revisions when necessary
  • Ensure campaigns remain on schedule

Client & Internal Communication
Serve as the operational point person for UGC campaign execution by maintaining proactive communication across internal teams and client stakeholders. No stakeholder should ever be surprised by the status of an active UGC campaign.
Responsibilities include:
  • Provide timely campaign updates to Growth Partners and Senior Creative Strategists
  • Communicate campaign progress and risks to clients in coordination with account stakeholders
  • Escalate issues before they impact timelines
  • Recommend operational solutions whenever challenges arise
  • Ensure all stakeholders remain informed throughout campaign execution
  • Maintain a high standard of professionalism and responsiveness

Program Operations
Maintain the systems, documentation, and workflows that keep the UGC program operating efficiently.
Responsibilities include:
  • Maintain project tracking within ClickUp
  • Organize creator documentation within Google Drive
  • Develop and maintain Google Docs, Sheets, and briefing templates
  • Execute creator agreements using DocuSign
  • Track creator performance and historical engagement
  • Ensure accurate documentation across every project
  • Monitor deadlines and proactively resolve bottlenecks

Program Development & Continuous Improvement
Help evolve Chief Detective's UGC offering through ongoing operational improvements.
Responsibilities include:
  • Improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Develop reusable documentation and templates
  • Build creator playbooks and onboarding materials
  • Document campaign learnings
  • Produce internal case studies highlighting successful creator partnerships
  • Identify operational inefficiencies and recommend improvements
  • Improve turnaround times while maintaining quality standards
  • Contribute to the long-term scalability of the UGC program

Success Metrics
Success is measured not only by campaign completion, but by the confidence and trust built across clients, creators, and internal teams.
Key performance indicators include:
Operational Excellence
  • Successfully manage 5-8 concurrent client programs
  • Deliver campaigns on agreed timelines
  • Maintain organized documentation across all projects
  • Meet internal response-time expectations
  • Minimize missed deadlines

Communication
  • Proactively communicate campaign progress
  • Escalate risks before they become client issues
  • Keep Growth Partners and Creative Strategists consistently informed
  • Maintain timely responses across Slack and email
  • Close communication loops without prompting

Creator Network
  • Grow and strengthen the creator database
  • Maintain relationships with top-performing creators
  • Improve creator turnaround time
  • Reduce creator attrition
  • Identify new creator sourcing opportunities

Program Development
  • Continuously improve workflows
  • Maintain current SOP documentation
  • Develop case studies from successful campaigns
  • Recommend process improvements
  • Increase operational efficiency over time

What We're Looking For:
  • 3+ years of experience in influencer marketing, creator partnerships, production coordination, project management, or campaign operations
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent projects
  • Strong negotiation and relationship management abilities
  • Ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced agency environment
  • High attention to detail and follow-through
  • Technical proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive, Gmail), ClickUp, Slack, DocuSign
  • Familiarity with creator management platforms is a plus

Why Join Chief Detective:
  • Be at the forefront of digital marketing
  • Competitive salary and benefits package
  • Partner with recognized fast-growing DTC and e-commerce brands
  • Be part of a team that blends analytical rigor with creative experimentation
  • Work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment where your insights directly drive performance
  • Remote-first flexibility with a culture that values curiosity, growth, and attention to detail

Compensation & Benefits:
  • This position has an approved compensation range of $90,000 to $100,000
  • A comprehensive benefits package that includes group medical, dental, and vision coverage; short and long-term disability; life insurance; 401(k) eligibility after one year of service with matching contributions; paid time off; sick leave; and an Employee Assistance Program, and more.
