We are seeking a skilled Automated Equipment Mechanic to join our team and help maintain and improve the machinery that drives our production processes.
Job Overview:
The Automated Equipment Mechanic is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing automated machinery within the production facility. The ideal candidate will have experience with complex automated systems, including printing presses, die cutters, and folder-gluing machines, and a strong understanding of preventative maintenance procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine preventative maintenance and repairs on automated equipment, including printing presses, die cutters, folder-gluing machines, and related machinery.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control system issues to minimize production downtime.
  • Work with engineers and the maintenance team to implement automation upgrades and improvements.
  • Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to identify faults, document maintenance activities, and track performance issues.
  • Respond to emergency maintenance calls and perform repairs in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Assist in the installation and setup of new equipment as needed.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve maintenance processes and machine performance.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate's degree in industrial maintenance, mechatronics, or a related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in the maintenance and repair of automated machinery, ideally in the packaging or manufacturing industry.
  • Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with PLCs, HMIs, and other control systems is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy equipment, stand for extended periods, and work in various environmental conditions.
  • Flexibility to work different shifts, including weekends or on-call as required.
