Job Purpose and Impact

The Diamond V - Ruminant Nutrition District Sales Managerwill lead and develop strategy, sales teams and processes to achieve revenue targets. In this role, you will provide strategic vision and tactical direction, oversee and direct the responsibilities of mountain southwest sales team and represent the organization in promoting and selling the company's products and services.

This will be a home office role but needs to reside in Texas, New Mexico, Idaho, Utah. Up to 60% of travel is required to cover the area of responsibility.

Diamond Vs natural immune support postbiotic feed additives help optimize animal health, animal performance, and preharvest food safety. We provide expert, experienced, technical support to our customers to help keep their animals healthy and grow their businesses. Based on 80 years of research and development, Diamond V continues to explore and innovate in postbiotic and microbial fermentation science and technology.

Key Accountabilities
  • Organize and coordinate sales operations in a specified geographical area.
  • Evaluate market potential and the status of sales in the area.
  • Plan and organize sales projects and activities for a geographical area.
  • Plan, develop and deliver the marketing strategy for products, services and associated brands.
  • Develop plans and deliver results in a fast-changing business or regulatory environment, while leading and developing a sales team, coaching and making decisions related to talent management hiring, performance and disciplinary actions. You will also collaborate with managers and supervisors in your organization to ensure staff selections align with current and future needs.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in a related field or equivalent years of experience
  • Minimum of six years of related work experience in sales, business development or related field
  • Experience in the ruminant nutrition, animal health, animal nutrition or related field
  • Able and willing to travel up to 60%
  • Valid drivers license in good standing

Preferred Qualifications

  • Three or more years of supervisory experience leading and developing high-performing sales teams
  • Sales experience in animal nutrition, animal health, feed additives and supplements
  • Experience in the dairy industry focus on ruminant nutrition optimization of animal health and animal performance
