As a Regional Field Sales Manager, you will lead a Florida field sales team of seven reps while personally selling and growing a portfolio of souvenir and giftware products — postcards, magnets, keychains, mugs, snow globes, plush, and novelty items — sold through major retail chains and independent retailers in Florida tourist areas. This is a player-coach role that blends team leadership with direct selling. The territory covers the State of Florida, with established clusters in Orlando, Tampa, and Miami. This position offers a base salary of USD $90,000 – $110,000, plus an annual performance bonus, with other perks!

The company employs approximately 130 people and is headquartered in Markham, Ontario, Canada, with Florida operations — warehouse, office, and showroom — run from Orlando, Florida. They are a wholesaler of souvenirs and giftware, distributing postcards, magnets, keychains, mugs, snow globes, plush, and novelty items to major retail chains and independent retailers across Canada and the United States. Notable accounts include Walmart, CVS, Walgreens, Hudson, and Paradies.

OFFICE LOCATION & SALES TERRITORY

  • • Florida office: Orlando, Florida (warehouse, office, and showroom)
  • • Work arrangement: field-based — in the field with the reps daily, roughly one day per week (a few hours) at the Orlando office; administrative work otherwise done from home

EXPERIENCE, BACKGROUND & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • • Approximately 8–10 years of combined management and supervisory experience, with proven regional or territory sales leadership — ideally leading a field team of roughly 5–10 reps
  • • Approximately 5+ years in a consumer-products environment
  • • Industry background in retail or wholesale consumer products; strongest fit is souvenirs, giftware, gifts, collectibles, novelty, or apparel — transferable backgrounds include housewares, home décor, kitchenware, home textiles, lifestyle and accessories, toys, games, plush, specialty food and confectionery, stationery, and seasonal/holiday products
  • • Key-account / chain experience is essential — demonstrated success selling to and growing major retail chains such as Walmart, CVS, Walgreens, Hudson, and Paradies
  • Direct-store-delivery (DSD) experience is a strong asset
  • • Ability to grow an independent retail base in addition to managing major chains
  • • A hands-on field operator — willing and physically able to merchandise, reset, and work stores in the field, and to step into a rep’s role when needed.
  • • University degree in business and/or equivalent general-management experience preferred — not a mandatory requirement
  • • Valid U.S. driver’s licence and a reliable personal vehicle are required — the role involves heavy daily driving

  • • 60% Managing, coaching, and field-selling with the sales reps — 1:1s, ride-alongs, opening accounts, and phone and remote support
  • • 20% Strategic growth — pursuing new key and independent accounts and opening new territory, most notably building the Jacksonville market
  • • 10% Hands-on coverage — covering open territories during transitions and merchandising or resetting stores during merchandiser gaps
  • • 10% Territory P&L and administration — budgets, forecasts, cost of sales, and participation in new-product, SKU, and inventory decisions

LEADS

  • • An established base of major-chain accounts to manage and grow at the store level from Day 1
  • • New business development — expanding the independent retailer base and building the uncovered Jacksonville market from scratch (opening accounts directly, proving the territory, then justifying and onboarding a rep)
  • • Space and growth are earned store by store through consistent field presence — this is a hands-on, get-into-the-stores role, not a desk office role

OVERNIGHT TRAVEL

  • • Approximately 10–20%
  • • Regular in-state field travel across the territory (Orlando–Tampa–Miami), with periodic overnight stays for Miami and Jacksonville expansion visits
  • • A one-week onboarding trip to the Canadian head office and a training rotation with the company’s lead training rep in Atlanta are required at the outset
