JOB SUMMARY:
The Employee Engagement and Recognition Manager is responsible for developing, managing, and continuously enhancing employee engagement and recognition programs that strengthen company culture, improve the manager and employee experience, supporting DHL eCommerce Americas to continue building a great place to work.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Own and drive the DHL eCommerce employee engagement and recognition agenda, including the development, and continuous improvement of programs, campaigns, events, and communication initiatives that support a positive employee experience across office locations, distribution centers, and remote employees.
  • Lead the end-to-end project management and execution of employee engagement and recognition initiatives, including project planning, communications, training materials, rollout strategies, timelines, launch execution, and post-program evaluation to ensure successful adoption, awareness, and participation across the organization.
  • Manage employee recognition programs including Employee Appreciation Week, Employee of the Quarter/Year, DHL Anniversary Awards, frontline recognition programs such as Employee of the Month and DHL Rewards, and other strategic employee experience initiatives.
  • Plan and execute high-impact engagement and recognition events, including the Employee of the Year program, functional conferences, year-end meetings, and employee celebrations, delivering a best-in-class employee and manager experience through comprehensive event management from concept development through execution and post-event follow-up.
  • Write and curate employee stories, leadership messaging, and HR communications that reflect DHL eCommerce culture and values; maintain and update internal engagement platforms such as Internal DHL site Smart Connect to ensure content remains relevant, engaging, and accessible.
  • Monitor emerging trends and best practices and recommend innovative solutions and enhancements aligned with organizational goals and workforce needs.
  • Collaborate with HR and CES teams to support employee communications, learning initiatives, career development programs, and other employee experience activities that strengthen engagement and organizational culture.
  • Partner with key stakeholders across HR, Communications, Operations, Internal DHL training Certified, and other DHL business units to align engagement and recognition initiatives with broader organizational priorities, including Social Responsibility, Belonging initiatives, Well-Being, and culture-building efforts.
  • Develop measurement and tracking mechanisms to evaluate engagement program effectiveness, including participation metrics, employee feedback, communication reach, and overall impact. Analyze trends and provide recommendations for continuous improvement and increased employee awareness and engagement.
  • Contribute to cross-functional and ad hoc HR projects as needed.


EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 6+ years of progressive experience in managing, and executing employee engagement, recognition, internal communications, HR programs, culture initiatives, or employee experience related fields required.
  • Experience leading cross-functional projects, managing multiple priorities, and coordinating large-scale employee events, supporting frontline and multi-location employee populations strongly preferred.

REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS:

  • Strong project and program management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously, prioritize effectively, and deliver high-quality results within deadlines.
  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop communications, presentations, training materials, toolkits, and employee-facing content for enterprise-wide initiatives.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, metrics and data oriented to support continuous improvement and decision-making.
  • Strong collaboration and partnership skills with the ability to work cross-functionally across HR, Operations, Communications, and business leaders.
  • Strong design, digital, creative, and online skills; Ai knowledge, video editing and digital content creation skills are desirable.
  • Can-Do attitude with willingness to self-learn, strong attention to detail, proactive with service-oriented approach.
  • Passion for improving employee and manager experience by creating a positive and inclusive workplace culture.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Physical demands are mostly consistent with a professional office setting.
  • Regular sitting at workstation for 25 - 75% of the work shift.
  • Occasional travel (<25%) may be required.
