Job description

A full-time opportunity awaits as an itinerant Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH), supporting students across multiple schools throughout the district. Step into this rewarding position and make a difference as you help a diverse student population gain access to high-quality education during a 10-12 week maternity leave, starting August 25th. This contract position offers a flexible schedule that fits the dynamic nature of an itinerant role, allowing you to work across different educational settings near Washougal, WA.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Valid OSPI Certification with a DHH endorsement
  • Proven experience working with students using cochlear implants, hearing aids, and both FM and ASL communication methods
  • Strong knowledge of strategies to support students with varying levels of hearing loss
  • Ability to travel between sites and adapt to changing classroom environments
  • Excellent communication skills with students, staff, and families
  • Previous experience in an itinerant teaching capacity preferred
