The Mendocino County Office of Education is a public agency whose primary purpose is to provide educational leadership, resources and services to schools to ensure wide-ranging educational opportunities for all students. This mission is accomplished through cooperative efforts with teachers, school districts, families, and communities; through direct instructional programs and administrative services; and through coordination with the California Department of Education and other agencies.
Job Summary
Under the general supervision of the Director of Special Education, implement and coordinate activities that support the student's education program for ages birth to 22; demonstrate extensive knowledge and practical application of behavioral principles, practices, methods and strategies applicable to students who are deaf or hard of hearing (DHH), including behavior management based on positive reinforcement; support the successful integration of the DHH student into the general education classroom, resource classroom, or special day classroom and other school settings; personal qualities
include leadership, integrity, fairness, optimism, self-confidence, persistence and vitality.
