    Location: Savannah, GA | Pay Rate: $19.29/hour | Schedule: 2nd Shift (3:30pm - 2am) 

    PDS Tech Commercial is seeking Operations Trainees for an exciting opportunity within the aerospace industry. This entry-level role is ideal for individuals with a strong mechanical aptitude and a team-first mindset. You’ll be working directly on aircraft manufacturing processes, gaining valuable industry skills and experience that can shape your future in aviation and advanced manufacturing. 

     
     

    What You’ll Be Doing 

    As an Operations Trainee, you’ll work under direct supervision to support the structural assembly of aircraft components. You’ll learn the fundamentals of aircraft production in a hands-on environment and develop the foundational skills needed for a long-term career in the aerospace field. 

    Daily Responsibilities Include: 

    • Perform basic drilling, riveting, and fitting operations using hand tools (e.g., pneumatic drills, rivet guns, countersinks). 

    • Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and specification sheets to guide your tasks. 

    • Assist in aligning and assembling parts using fixtures, clamps, and fasteners. 

    • Support manufacturing team members and Quality Control Inspectors to ensure product accuracy. 

    • Observe and learn aircraft assembly procedures with decreasing supervision as your skills develop. 

    • Maintain safety standards and support general housekeeping responsibilities. 

    • Lift and transport components up to 40 pounds safely and effectively. 

     
     

    Qualifications 

    Required: 

    • High School Diploma or GED 

    • Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on craft skills 

    • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English 

    • Basic computer proficiency and keyboarding skills 

    • Ability to work any shift, with flexible scheduling needs 

    • Team-oriented attitude with willingness to learn and support others 

    Preferred: 

    • Enrollment in a Technical Aviation Program 

    • Prior painting experience or interest in painting composite parts 

    • Experience using hand tools in a production or repair environment
